knowlegeable , good diagnosis

I am writing this review in response to the care given to my husband, Vernon Dodd recently. My husband had some pancreatic stones in the duct of his pancreas. Upon recommendation from his local gastroenterology doctor we made an appointment with Dr. Sikka based on his expertise and experience with pancreatic stones. His office is located in New Orleans and we live in Baton Rouge. Dr. Sikka has the best bedside manner I have ever seen a in a doctor. His patience and ability to explain things in a manner in which we could understand was excellent. We did not feel rushed nor uninformed of all possibilities that could happen with the delicate procedure that was recommended. After contemplation we decided to go forward with the procedure. During the procedure I was kept informed as to how my husband was doing throughout and when the procedure was done Dr. Sikka spoke directly with me and answered my questions. As could be expected with the procedure, my husband went into full blown… pancreatitis after we got home from the outpatient surgery. Dr. Sikka had given us his cell phone number and we were able to stay in touch with him. My husband spent 8 days in the hospital here in Baton Rouge. Dr. Sikka was in constant contact with the local doctors and even called me to check on my husband. His care and attentiveness is to be commended.
