Dr. Sanker Jayachandran, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Jay by telehealth appointments over two years and like him and respect his expertise very much. He works with you to select the right medications and dosages to alleviate your illnesses. He provides talk therapy if he senses you need it or you request it. He has given me very good advice and has been insightful and offers solutions to problems and challenges. I highly recommend you choose him, I am very grateful I did, he has helped me so much.

Dr. J as he likes to be called kept me waiting for hours on several occasions even when I was scheduled as his first patient if the day. When I'd finally get to his office he spent 4 minutes writing new scripts. When I'd tell him how I was feeling he'd just ask what I want to do about it and increase my meds. Finally realized that he's just a pill pusher without real concern for my welll being.

If you go in with suicidal thoughts, dealing with this office will cause you to commit suicide. They do not return calls until threatened with the dept of professional regulations; mix up instructions, and are overall very detrimental to your mental health.

All he cares is money and the practice of treating addictions is a total joke consisting of hours of empty chats. Even if you might have been ordered by the legal system find a decent dr. Do not waste time or money here.

I have seen so many bad reviews for Dr. J and I had to add my review. I have been seeing him for 9 years now. Often time I have to wait longer than I should. Besides that, he cares and he gives me the time to talk about anything I need to let out. He has never pushed a drug on me! We worked together to get myself on the right medicine regimen often generic non- Big Pharm name brands.

I was referred to Dr. Jayachandran. He was the first doctor that I every had to pay for services prior receiving the services. There are no discounts for cash payments and his initial bill was $100 more than I had been advised when I made the appointment. As a 50yr male, I wasn't comfortable telling a very young and apparently inexperience intake staff member the personal issues that were the reason for my visit. When I made a follow-up call to discuss the problems I was having with the medicine I was not allowed to speak to the doctor. An assistant spoke with me first and then later that day I had to speak again with the doctor and provide him the same information. I feel the quality of service I received was poor. When my response to the mixed of Wilburton and Divalproex left me feeling angry and anxious, the doctor referred to Wilburton as an 'energy pill' and increased the amount of both medications which exacerbated my symptoms further. I don't feel he was really listening… to or interested in helping me. He seems to process many people through the large staff in his office and appears to focus primarily on the money aspect of the business as opposed to the help that I needed.

I was referred to Dr. Jayachandran for my postpartum depression. I told him I was breastfeeding, which you would think would arise restrictions about prescribing meds. Never have I been so wrong. He ignored all my concerns, which I find extremely disrespectful, and not only wrote me a prescription that he "strongly recommended", he wrote a dosage that I wasn't even allowed to take because of my size (mind you, I'm 4'10 and 108lbs). The worst part was that when I told my OBGYN about the prescription at the follow-up appointment, he couldn't believe I was prescribed those meds, as well as at that dosage! The only thing you get out of the entire appointment is a prescription-happy pharmacy mill. I'm pretty sure this guy gets kickbacks from insurance and pharmaceutical companies for it. He almost harmed me and my infant child because of his negligence! Avoid at all costs. There are several other doctors in this discipline that are much more helpful without immediately consulting drugs.

Doctor Jay prescribes suboxone, that's the benefit here, also handed me scripts with no diagnosis; group therapy with Robin Lewis is a joke, she has no experience with addiction and talks about her diabetes everyday. Really?

This man is a licensed drug dealer. He actually gave me 3 different pills to take while I was in the office. When I asked him if they were meds that I would have to wean off of he said no. He lied. When I verified it with the pharmacist he told me that it was not to be discontinued abruptly and must be tapered. When I called the doc to ask him for a tapering schedule he said I needed to come in for an office visit, $150 to get the tapering schedule. I did not have insurance so it was difficult for me to afford a visit that soon after the one I just had. This man will tell you that he is very expensive and he takes pride in it. When I complained about the dishonesty about the taper he refused to treat me. Lucky for me or I would probably be dead. Do not trust this man. The whole time I was in benzo withdrawal and he knew it. These psychiatrists are in denial on benzo withdrawal because they are in bed with the BIG PHARMA reps. I am still struggling with the withdrawal… syndrome. Beware of this doc and beware of benzodiazapines!
