Dr. Santiago Alberto Almanzar Disla, MD

My professional opinion as a professional would include Dr. Almanzar seems to rely mainly on procedures opposed to overview assessment. Perhaps, it was the neglect and postponement of a requested neurological exam that makes me highly suspicious and would truly like to review that particular degree. Furthermore, the most better, highly paramount thing is that the Dr. has excellent location and is prompt. Reviewed but not written by Bradley S. Ward

Very helpful and efficient staff and doctor. Dr. A is excellent at communicating, approachable and encourage teamwork between the patient, parents and himself.

My first visit with Dr. Almanzar was a positive experience. I found him to be very pleasant but what most impressed me was his encouragement and allowance of the patient to be involved in their own treatment plan. As the patient, we know ourselves and our struggles best. Paired with a history of many failed treatments, misdiagnoses and subsequent suffering, it is important to me personally to be significantly involved in my own treatment decisions and inevitable future adjustments or alterations. I decided to seek psychiatric care when it became evident my GP could no longer adequately treat my ADHD, depression and anxiety. I also have benefited from other modalities of treatment such as CBT, which this office does not currently offer but is quite effective paired with the right medications/dosages. This was encouraged by Dr. Almanzar. I look forward to continue working with him and appreciate his compassionate approach to treating mental illness. Also - he prescribed a new medication… my insurance would not cover - but was able to receive free thanks to his office staff. Overall very pleased with all aspects of this practice.

Dr. Almanzar and the office staff at Compassion Mental Health have been a huge help through the most difficult time of my life. I was able to visit with Dr. Almanzar and proceed with much needed RX care very quickly compared to so many other practices that left me jumping through hoops of counselors in a blur of hopelessness. With the prescribing care of a Psychiatrist, I was quickly able to balance myself through terrible stress and depression to manage my life that had become unmanageable. Thanks to the ongoing care of Dr. Almanzar and his team at Compassion Mental health, I believe I am on the right path and healing. I have alot of work cut out for myself as I find creative ways to rebuild my life, but I know I’m on the right track. Seeing hope and feeling this positive outlook is priceless. I’m overcoming a world of terrible negativity one moment at a time and I believe I have a future to look forward to.

Dr. Almanzar is super great! He actually listens to you and your concerns and needs. He takes the appropriate steps needed to get you to where you want and need to be. I haven’t been this happy in YEARS! He pays very close attention to you and gives you treatment options. He knows his medications well, is very knowledgeable and also, very kind and patient. There has never been a time where I felt uncomfortable around him. I highly recommend him. As for the office and staff itself, I can’t praise it enough. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The office is ALWAYS clean and never packed full of other patients like other places and never a wait longer than 3-5 minutes.

Doctor is AWESOME. Too bad the woman on the phone was insensitive to my struggles. She even said "Thank you" when I wasn't done speaking and actually hung up! I will not be going back which is a shame because the doc is great.

Dr. Almanzar is amazing. He was the first doctor I have had who was able to quickly find medications that worked well for me. He listens to what you have to say about your treatment and doesn’t dismiss you if you have any concerns or input of your own regarding your medication. It has been awhile since I have been this stable and I owe it to Dr. Almanzar. The office staff are wonderful as well! They are so friendly and worked closely with me as I figured out insurance issues.

I've dealt with various psychiatrists for the past six years and always left appointments feeling unheard and disregarded. I can confidently say that in the short amount of time I've been seeing Dr. Almanzar he has proven to be the most competent and caring psychiatrist in my experience. He takes his time to discuss treatments with me and get to know me and my situation. His staff is friendly and the nurse I've dealt with is also professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Almanzar and his staff to anyone looking for reliable mental health services.

Dr. Almanzar has been caring for my teenage daughter for the last several months. He is caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. He takes time to really understand his patients, which makes him a gem in this field! I would highly recommend him to patients of all ages!
