Dr. Sapana Rashmi Chokshi, MD

Like the previous reviews indicate the office manager is a terrible human being. I've been with Dr. Chokshi for 15 years and never had any issues. However after dealing with this incompetent man who "runs" the office I'm forced to find a new doctor.

I’ve followed Dr Chokshi for 17 years to multiple office locations and staff (some good, most NOT). I stuck around because I felt we had a strong bond, even though the wait time was excessive for the majority of my appointments. I just accepted that and knew what to expect. As time went on things got much worse and now it’s time to move on. Her latest office Mgr, besides being extremely unprofessional & outrageous rude seems to be adjusting charges at will. Long story short: I was told one thing by a pleasant female staffer and charged something completely different by him. When questioned he became indignant and cocky on the phone, beware of his charging practices . He also appears to think he/they are doing YOU a favor by being seen at the office, there are too many other caring, professional offices that deserve your hard earned money!!!

INCOMPETENT. HER NURSE PRACTITIONER LAURA GEICO HAS ISSUES. VERY JUDGMENTAL AND DISMISSIVE OF YOUR OPINIONS ON THE DRUGS SHE WANTS YOU TO INGEST. DOES NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE A PERMANENT SIDE EFFECT AND MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE ITS YOUR FAULT SHE DIDNT LISTEN TO YOU. ITS NO WONDER THIS PLACE HAS RANCID REVIEWS.

Extremely bad back-office - focus on collecting checks than patient care. Find someone who genuinely cares about patients

I suffered from depression and anxiety and was referred to Dr. Chokshi by a friend. Dr. Chokshi predicted 100% recovery at my first appointment, and over a period of two years that prediction came true. Mental illness can be difficult to treat, yet a doctor with patience and empathy can help a patient through the process. I feel Dr. Chokshi was the reason I recovered and was able to get my life back.

They are one of the only offices in Chicagoland with Brainsway Deep TMS Machine and were able to get me in quickly for a consult & got it covered with my insurance within a week. Within 4 weeks my depression was lifting and giving me hope. At the end of the treatments I was functioning better than I have been in 10 years. The TMS therapist is sweet and has a calming atmosphere in the TMS room. It was a commitment to finish it, but I would do it all over again. So worth it.

I do practice management consulting for a living which means I see hundreds of medical and health practices a year. This is the honest TRUTH: I have NEVER in my years in practice management have seen a more incompetent staff. It's really that bad. The practice is a mess. Communication between office manager and Dr. isn't even there. The office manager is a major problem as she doesn't take accountability for her actions. She always forgets to call in prescriptions, sometimes OVER TWO WEEKS BEHIND. - then blames the patient for not scheduling yet another appointment for the same prescription and dosage. She wont even give you a prescription if you have an appointment on the books. This is ludicrous. There are other motives going on here and I am getting out before they do damage to me. Lastly the doctor is ALWAYS late. ALWAYS. She definitely does not respect your time. I literally have never been late - not once because I respect the doctors time. I wish this was reciprocated.… I feel like a schmuck for giving them my hard earned money. You know I remember her chomping down on a burger once in the hall as I sat patiently AFTER 30 minutes of already waiting!!! - and it took her another 35 minutes just to see my while the burger was being engulfed. THIS IS A WARNING....find another psychiatrist that cares. AND RUN. If you do see her and you have an appointment, maybe put it out there that McDonalds is hiring.

Between the gatekeeper receptionist and the unprofessionalism of the doctor be forewarned that this doctor will terminate you with out cause. She makes mistakes when prescribing medicine and then blames the patient. She is unavailable for consultation. Be very aware if you send your young adult children to her. They will be dismissed, unheard, and vilified.

I was actually told not to share the crazy thoughts that run through my head. I'm schizoaffective and I need to be able to tell me Dr. when I'm hallucinating and she told me not to share those thoughts with her. I stopped seeing her after that and found a much better more supportive Psychiatrist.

I went without a very important prescription that went unfilled for a week and left me not able to leave the house, able to function and became so scared that I had a friend of my come by and I asked if I should go to the emergency room as I could not handle each day without the medicine. After a week she filled the medication but she did not charge me $25.00 for this medication. If you have to cancel an appointment and reschedule she will charge you $25.00 for having to fill a prescription before you next appointment. I told her that if something had happen to me that it would have been her fault because she did not fill the perception. She informed me that no it would not be her fault, really? She does no like confrontation as she is always right and it always your fault for what ever happened. I have seen her for over a year and I confronted her with the perception that she did not fill that cause me great pain. I told her that I was not going to pay the $25.00 because that was to… most idiotic thing that I had ever heard because I reschedule the appointment and since I had to reschedule the appointment and she had to fill a perception before my rescheduled appointment she charged me $25.00 which I told her I was not going to pay. She got so upset that I questioned her that she said that I should leave now because I was beating up on her and she was not going to take this. That told me that she is not a good doctor if she cannot take an issue that needs disscussion and throws a patient out. This also told me how unprofessional she is of which I told her so and that really set her off. She is pleasant but do not challenge her on any issues for she will throw you out. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL see her at your own risk.
