She has great bedside manner and takes time to discuss what is going on with you and explains why or why not she does things. Too bad she has moved away.

Dr. Diaz was recommended by a friend who said the doc is not afraid of alternative medicine including vitamin supplements. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid & a couple other things that go with that disease by my previous doc. 1st) The Guion Rd. address is incorrect. She only sees patients at the Main St. Speedway location. The staff at this location is must more friendly than the Guion Rd. office. 2nd) I like that Dr. Diaz ran blood labwork that had never been done before. She could tell all kinds of deficiencies and good things from my bloodwork. 3rd) prescribed supplements and changed my thyroid med after the first round of labwork. The only downside to the lab she uses is that they are not in any insurance network and is very expensive from what I see on the EOBs; never received a bill and am afraid any day lab bills for thousands are going to arrive after two years of tests. 4th) I am not sure she has any patients or experience with women my age who've had hysterectomy. I… say this because I have been her patient for nearly 2 years and she has never done a breast exam, offered a pap smear (the version required for someone without all those parts), bone density scan or mammography scrip. I have ask about all and the only one I was given was a scrip for the mammography. 5th) Except for the labwork with which she is very comfortable, I feel like I guide her thru every exam and unless it has to do with my labwork, it's not natural to her. 6th) I have a chronic sinus condition for which I occasionally need antibiotics & treat with an ENT. Because I can't always get into the specialist, I need the GP to prescribe these. She has never given me a scrip in the two times in two years I have asked because my sinuses were packed with infection. She always says 'make an appointment with an ENT'. My ENT takes about 3 months to get into so I ended up at the Med Check both times. Once, I went to Med Check from her office. 7) The one time I had an urgent needs to see her, I was offered an appointment 2 weeks out until I insisted another doc surely had appointments. A nurse practitioner treated and she was very good. OVERALL: nice lady, needs to get more comfortable with routine care of people my age. Not sure I should stay with her because I fear routine stuff is not being taken care of. Might go back to my old doc who is a long drive but was good for me and sent follow up letters and called if I'd been treated for illness.
