Dr. Sara Gawor

Sara Gawor is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor (LCSW-S) who has been practicing social work in various settings for 9 years. Sara has a background with diverse clients and is eager to help adolescents, adults, and couples through all of the unexpected emotions and obstacles that life has in store. She is passionate about helping people build a more fulfilling life and finding their strengths. Sara completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is family oriented and has a strengths based, person-in-environment approach that is rooted in compassion. Sara utilizes multiple therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), as well as solution focused and motivational interviewing. Having gone through many of her own personal challenges and life journeys, Sara empathizes that we can all benefit from speaking to someone, whether it be routinely …or periodically just to get through a rough patch. There should be no topic off-limits, and Sara wants to remove the shame or guilt associated with reaching out and humanize the therapy experience.
