Dr. Sara Ann Christensen Holz, MD

It was my great good fortune to be offered an appointment with Dr. Holz for a CAUDAL ESI (steriod injection in my lower spine to decrease pain and swelling). She earned my full trust and appreciation when she came to the small room where the friendly nurse was finishing the preparation for my injection. She smiled at me, introduced herself, offered information about what was to happen, and answered my questions. She made me feel seen as a person. In the procedure room, she kept me informed about each step. Her nursing staff was also great--friendly, professionally superb, and ready to answer my questions. She and her staff will be my first choice if I ever need this procedure again. I already feel much better!

I've seen Dr. Holz for several years as well as her predecessors, all of whom I feel are exceptional practitioners in physical medicine and pain management. I'm fortunate to require only a tiny amount of medication but have mobility and other problems related to a neurological disease but altho I was a rehab nurse and am fairly cognizant about my condition and problems, Dr. Holz has been able to help me further by being aware of current practices and solutions and providing full explanations. Every patient has different needs, but Dr. Holz, as well as most of the physicians in her practice I've seen for surgery, are exceptional practitioners of patient focused care.
