Sara Luoma, APRN, CNP

Sara Luoma, APRN, CNP graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She spent 10 years working as a labor and delivery nurse at Essentia Health in Virginia, MN, where she earned certifications in high-risk obstetrics (RNC-OB) and advanced fetal monitoring (C-EFM) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC). In December 2014, Sara completed her Women's Health Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Cincinnati and has been providing care at Essentia Health Virginia ever since. Sara has a special interest in first exams, contraception counseling, and obstetrics. She values the opportunity to sit down with her patients, get to know them as individuals, and address their concerns. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career has been the continuity of care'caring for patients as a Registered Nurse and now continuing that care as a Nurse Practitioner. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, running, …reading, traveling, and watching her children pursue their passions, whether it's football, archery, or dance.
