Dr. Shantel Gallegos, NP

Shantel Gallegos, RN, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a Colorado Native and graduate of Colorado State University-Pueblo who specializes in the treatment of mental illness. Shantel is Board Certified in Psychiatry throughout the lifespan and has worked in nursing for over 12 years. Shantel has worked in various mental health specialities to include adult and geriatric specialized treatment, telepsychiatry, and crisis stabilization. Shantel has extensive knowledge of neurocognitive disorders and has worked for a time as a graduate faculty member for Colorado State University-Pueblo. She strongly believes in a client centered approach to care and unwavering client advocacy. Shantel incorporates multiple techniques and tools to enhance and improve engagement in treatment. Shantel was drawn to Actify by a growing concern over the lack of treatment effectiveness and increased side effects of traditional medications.
