Dr. Sara A. Moorehouse, DO

When Dr. Moorehouse prescribed something that had already proved unhelpful for my condition, as mentioned in the nurse's notes, which she refused to read, I asked politely if she could please choose something else. She responded in a rude and defensive manner. She spoke to me in a consistently mocking, condescending, accusatory tone that connoted bullying and degrading. She stood exclusively in the doorway, using this stance to tower over me in my chair. She behaved as though my condition were my own fault, when I was turning to her for help. She refused to tell me the name of the second prescription she wrote. When I obtained an information sheet from the nurse, I found that the medication was likely to result in an adverse reaction due to my allergies and preexisting condition, which Dr. Moorehouse would have been aware of if she had consulted my chart. I received the impression that she did not care whether the prescription helped me or harmed me. I left the office sobbing, which is… not a common occurrence for me.
