Dr. Sara Alison Oheron, MD

I have been going to Dr. O’Heron for many, many years. I've never sat with a doctor who takes the time to listen and make sure I understand what is going on with my body. She is by far the most knowledgeable and attentive doctor I've ever seen. I've been to other doctors who make me feel like I'm just a number. They rush through appointments without explaining what is going on with me. When I visit with Dr. O'Heron, I feel like I'm with a friend that I can talk to openly and honestly. I always leave with a better understanding of my health. She is simply the best!!!

Dr Oheron is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. She takes time with her patients , asks questions and listens. I feel that I am getting the absolute best care.

I was treated poorly on my first, second and third visit. I was hurt and put in danger just because the Doctor claim to be in the phone she does not see all her patients. Only the ones with conditions I had one. I am filing a bad medical practice claim. Don't risk yourself our your baby.

When I first started seeing Dr. O'Heron in 2004 for my pregnancy her office was a much better environment. She saw me up until my 36th week and then out of the blue was like, "Oh by the way, I don't actually deliver babies so I'm going to refer you to someone else for your birth." and was given to strangers for the last 4 weeks and had to give birth with a doctor I'd never met before. Had I known this from the beginning I would have gone to an actual OB for my entire pregnancy instead. You can't advertise that you are a highly skilled OB/GYN with specialized training in high risk obstetrics IF YOU DON'T EVEN DELIVER BABIES. The best part of her practice was her PA Madonna, once she left and I actually starting seeing Dr. O'Heron, everything went downhill. The wait to be seen went from short to over 90 minutes. When she finally saw you, she would bring in loads of other students to watch her work on you, all while not listening to your actual problems and trying to seem like she… knew it all in front of her students. She advocated starting my daughter on the brand new HPV vaccine at 8 years old, saying "We just want to get her vaccinated before she starts playing in the garden" and I was incredibly disgusted at how hard she tried to shame me for wanting to wait until I could do more research on a very brand new drug. This was my last straw where I knew I had to find a better doctor, not only for myself but for my daughter as well. We both deserved someone who would actual listen to us and not shame us for wanting to do research on a totally optional vaccine! She tries to get you to buy extra unnecessary tests and services that she knows no insurance company covers so that she can dupe more money out of you. Her office manager Amanda Joiner is probably the worst of them all. She has an incredible terrible attitude and is half the reason their staff is rotated out at a high rate, no one can stand to work under her!

FANTASTIC STAFF AND DOCTOR. They took their time and were so helpful. Never had the feeling of being rushed.

This woman is the most talented physician I have ever met/ she takes time, has the latest treatment plans and has saved my life.

After waiting 90 minutes to see her, O'Heron sat down with me and seemed to just be going over my information. I had previously been to her for pain, she advised to get an ultrasound. Ultrasound tech advised that I had "12 week" fibroids. O'Heron told me that these were so small that they couldn't possibly cause pain. She then promoted going on the pill, as well as hormones estrogen/progesterone. I shared that the latest research i've read on birth control pills (i'm 47 btw) I'm not comfortable with. Her face turned red and she became VERY defensive, stating that she Guarantees that I have not done more research than SHE had, this is a TEACHing practice, blah blah blah. This dr is relying on old information, thinks she is f'ing brilliant, and will not LISTEN to you. I think she could pretty much sum up what is wrong with healthcare today. What a whack job. I ended up walking out on her, because I realized as she accused me of interrupting her several times (I was asking… questions, and couldn't get a word in edgewise in her self-indulgent/important rambling) that I would not ever trust this woman with my medical care. Nor should anyone else. Read these reviews, I should have before I stepped into the place.

What a terrible experience. I would have given one star but for the very good treatment by the medical assistant and the woman who took my blood. I was a fit in appointment so I was squeezed in and expected a wait. I sat in the waiting room for about 40 minutes and then in the exam room for another 40. It didn't bother me at the time because I just wanted to be seen for pain in my ribs and back after having bronchitis for the last month and a half. Nearing the end of my wait, I'd stood up to be more comfortable when the doctor walked in. She seemed instantly annoyed that I was standing and explained at if I wanted to go to a doctor who worked quickly, I could find another place to go. That was a horrible way to begin with a new patient who had just been patiently waiting for an hour and a half! She cut me off several times when I was trying to explain what was going on. Because I have prior back problems, she automatically assumed it was my back that was the issue. She looked at my… throat and in my ears and listened twice to my lungs and then sent me away with a referral to an orthopedic surgeon (WHAT?!?!) and prescriptions for two inhalers that would have cost me nearly $300 to fill. Also - the triage nurse who was with her during the appointment was not paying attention at all. The doctor even commented about it saying, "You're not thinking about work - you're thinking about your wedding." When I went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds and saw the price, I called several times to get alternatives, but was only ridiculed for not having insurance that would cover them. I was offered one alternative that cost the same - and it was for a medicine that I'd already told them had bad effects on me. And the staff refused to let me speak with the doctor (I know she's busy, but she could at least email me or call me after hours) -- only with the nurses who did not understand at all what I was talking about. I was feeling terrible and this experience only made me feel worse. The next day, I went to a local urgent care center, where they did an ultrasound and determined that I had pleurisy. I don't need any inhalers nor do I need to see an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. O'Heron was supposed to be my PCP, but I am never going back.

I have been seeing Sara O' heron for over 8yrs now and i am expecting with my second child and she is an amazing doctor! She saw me through my first pregnancy with no complications. This pregnacy is a high risk pregnancy and she has seen me through every complication and is taking great care of me and my unborn son! I wouldnt trust any other doctor with me and my childrens lives. I would recommend her to any family with 5 stars!
