Dr. Sara Ann Platte, MD

Shes the best PCP I have every had she takes care of me and my whole family. She listens to all of our concerns and makes sure we are all doing good at any of our appointments she is willing to help my kids, husband even when its not their appointment!! She will help via portal so we dont have to come in for minor things like an infected bug bite. I have been her patient for years now and my kids have been her patient almost all their lives she is just great she treats me and my family as her own family I hope she never leaves IHA as I dont know if I could find another PCP like herself!!

To start, I actually was quite comfortable with Dr. Platte and appreciated her bedside manner. She was easy to talk to and very kind. I felt heard. I felt like I was going to make significant strides in improving my quality of life. Then I read through the notes for my appointment. Rather than hearing me out on my concerns, I found that Dr. Platte had fixated on my weight and centered that as her primary concern, rather than hearing me out. I was promised one referral for evaluation, but given another that supported HER perception of what I was experiencing, which (again) centered more on my weight. My weight had NOT been a primary topic of the appointment, and had only been discussed briefly, but it certainly took the center stage in the notes for my appointment. Furthermore, I still have yet to receive the referrals that I asked for, despite having called twice to ask for them. Weight bias is absolutely prevalent in the medical community and Dr. Platte is no exception.

I truly believe she favours men more then women. She is not a good listener very judge mental. I just stop going to see her and found a better Doctor.

She has gone above and beyond to prevent me from getting the treatment I need. Taking away a medication I had been on for years because "she" didn't think it was working even when I told her it was the only thing giving me any quality of life. Don't waste your time or money on her.

I love Dr. Platte, I have been going to her for 9 years and still sees her and I moved an hour drive away. She listens to you and she do not try to push pills at you. She will do everything she can to get to the bottom of your issues.

She is only after your money. Uses different methods to double charge your insurance.

She was a good doctor she listened to me and really cared about my health and not just listing to me so she can get my money. She opened her ears and somewhat of her heart. So far I like her and she seems like she is a good person. She hit the nail right on the head about what I've been feeling. Thanks I would recommend her to other women that are looking for a good family doctor.
