Dr. Sara S Turse, MD

Would not recommend.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor when I needed her authorization for emergency surgery for a broken wrist. I had seen her less than a week before with no issues at a regular bi-annual checkup. My surgeon was able to schedule me in quickly having had a broken arm over the weekend I was anxious to get it repaired. Dr. Turse refused to help me. Her staff all walked out on her. She was sitting by the window pulling her hair out. Never even acknowledging myself and my friend who were in the waiting room. She then opened the glass partition leaned out to see if anyone else was around and told me she would not help me. She had told me to go to the Gateway and they would help but they could not and sent me back to her. I said to her " you are just passing the buck" and she said " yes you are right". My hematologist who I had not seen in 2 months ended up signing for me. Believe it or not I forgave her after she explained to me she was having some sort of a breakdown. Well now… 2 years later and something worse has happened again involving an emergency which is what I though GP's were there to help with. I can not go into much detail here as I am very ill and it is confidential. Lets just say they do not treat cancer patients who are extremely ill any better than someone with a broken arm. She is 64 and should be retiring soon. Just stay away.

The doctor was very thorough, caring and knowledgeable. She does not use the EHR system which is problematic for me as I have multiple health and see several doctors and need to be able to keep everyone informed; however, I could work with that. What I cannot work with is a rude, lazy, incompetent staff. It takes them 4 days to call in a prescription the doctor notates on the day of your visit. They don’t feel it’s necessary to include your phone number when sending out referrals to other doctors. Certainly don’t ask a question unless you want to be treated like a two year old. So disappointing because Dr. Turse is the type of doctor that we all look for but the last thing you need when you are ill is a bunch of attitude and nastiness. May want to look elsewhere.

Very caring, thorough, and alert to signs of illness. I felt comfortable right after meeting her and confident in her care.

I was able to make an appointment as a new patient but have since left 4 messages trying to get information on how to get my records sent to Dr. Turse. I have yet to have any of my phone calls returned. I'm a little surprised given all the good ratings on this site. I will update after my first appointment.

Dr.Turse is very knowledgeable and seems very concerned of her patients. I love the fact that I can get a hold of her at any time and I know she puts in a lot of work in each and everyone of her patients, My wife and I now see her and hopefully she can be our Dr. for years to come.

The best call I ever made to a Dr was to make my first appointment with Dr Turse. Since arriving in Florida 21 years ago I avoided calling my Dr's when I was sick because I never felt that they were actually hearing what I had to say. I hate when Dr's use a computer and spend the whole time typing. Dr Turse takes notes by hand and talks and looks at you. She is extremely knowledgeable and will not hesitate to have tests done if it is warranted. I felt comfortable from the first visit and am glad I have her. I would recommend her to anyone. My whole family now goes to her and we all love her!

I am a senior and have had much experience with doctors. I can say that she is one of the most caring. It is unusual this day and age that you find one that really listens and pays attention to your needs. I have rarely had a doctor spend so much time with me explaining everything. I will continue to recommend her to any one I know. I feel lucky to have her as my primary doctor. If you are looking for a new doctor - she is the one.

This was the best experience I have ever had with any doctor, the wait time was a breeze was welcome to the office with caring staff, Dr Sara Turse was on point with my exam. Will tell the people I care about to go to Dr Turse for any of their medical needs. Very knownageble, answered all of my qeastions with great detail, so that I could understand. What a great Doc
