Dr. Sara Vazquez, MD

Dr. Vazquez is a wonderful physician. She is smart, friendly, and spends lots of time with her patients. She is never hurried. I feel as though she is my friend, and that she is genuinely concerned about my health. She is among the finest physicians I have ever known. Her skills and medical knowledge are in the very highest ranks. I highly recommend her.

She saved my life so many times. I would recommend her to everyone. She uses world class medicine and innovative techniques to treat the human soul.

Let me preface by saying that due to a chronic health care condition, I feel my review warrants serious consideration since continuous care has been required by me for a number of years. In lieu of this and my nomadic traveling this condition has placed me in a unique position to interact with a number of physicians and Dr Vazquez has definitely been up there with some of the best. I've overall been lucky in that I've rarely had to see a doctor without an appointment. On those rare occasions when I have, Dr Vazquez and her staff have been able to accommodate me and that's been most appreciated. Still it's always better to have an appointment scheduled when you have a chronic condition and my needs have been met each time without exception.She's always taken an interest in any questions that I've had including when I came in with a list. I've never felt rushed or that she or her staff have been inattentive.As a student, I once had to withdraw from classes for a semester and though the… condition was not directly related to my care under Dr Vazquez, she was able to assist me with a medical excuse to my Dean saving me a great deal of money on a student loan repayment.I highly recommend Dr Vazquez to anyone who has a chronic health care condition and if not for the fact that I again am relocating I would continue under her care.

It's quite simple. Since no one is more directly affected by the doctor's actions than the patient, doctors should serve their patients first and foremost, respecting their wishes. Treatment without consent is assault.The "ideal" doctor is someone who validates my pain, listens to my problem and treats me with professional courtesy. I, in turn, want to be the ideal patient. Who asks questions, follows medical advice and says "thank you."Dr Vazquez is meticulous in accumulating the historical and physical data from the patient. Her questioning of the patient is searching and incisive, like that of a wise barrister. . . . Her special interest is any human illness. Her care of the patient does not end with the correct diagnosis. . . . she is inexhaustibly capable of infusing into her patients insight, self-discipline, optimism and courage. Those she cannot make well, she comforts. . . . The things she works with are intellectual capacity, unconfined clinical experience and the perceptive… use of her eyes, ears, hands and heart.How often do we receive that kind of doctoring? I suspect not as often as we'd like. It seems easy to summarize whats needed; Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base and using that knowledge in a skillful and caring fashion.
