Sarah Baker, MD, believes in a “patient first” philosophy, with her patients’ best interest at heart. She works closely with you to ensure a clear understanding of your diagnosis and treatment options. Dr. Baker practices dermatology for adults and children, cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery.

A native of West Monroe, Dr. Baker graduated summa cum laude from Centenary College of Louisiana with a degree in biology. Her medical education was at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery internship in Chicago at Rush University Medical Center and a residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Dr. Baker returned to Shreveport-Bossier City to care for patients’ skin needs at Ark-La-Tex Dermatology.

Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Baker has memberships with Louisiana Dermatological Society, American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.

Dr. …Baker’s greatest love is her family. Her four children keep her very busy outside the office. She is active in her church and also loves reading, traveling and spending time with friends.

Dr. Baker is the most caring doctor I've ever met her attention to detail is phenomenal and her bedside manner is even better couldn't ask for a better dermatologist, and her nursing staff was just as sweet

After seeing 6 Drs over a 4 year period, Dr Baker diagnosed my problem and I had a treatment plan at my first visit. She is compassionate, caring, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr Baker.

I have been having a problem for the last 4 years. U have seen 3 Internal Med Drs, I vascular Dr, and another dermatologist. Not one of these Drs could diagnosis my problem. On my first visit to Dr. Baker, within 15 minutes I had a diagnosis and treatment plan. Words can't express how much I appreciated her knowledge and the compassion she shows me at each visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Baker to my friends and family.

Dr. Baker has been treating my teenage daughter for acne. She made us both very comfortable and cared about. I felt she listened to all my daughter's concerns and made a personal connection with her. The results of her treatment plan have been excellent. I was out with my daughter last week and someone told her she had beautiful, porcelain skin!

Dr. Baker is wonderful! I go to her, and I sent my husband, kids and mother to her, as well as my friends. She's well trained, kind and quick! I completely trust her!

SHE TOLD ME TO KEEP USING A PRESCRIPTION DRUG THAT CAUSES PAIN AND ITCHING ON MY FACE. WILL NOT RECOMMEND HER.

Very personable and patient . Definitely can tell she cares about her patients because of her compassion!! Very pleased with her treatment and recovered completely ! Highly recommend her and her staff.

I found Dr. Baker and her staff to be wonderful!! I've never had a physician spend the QUALITY time she did. I would fully recommend Dr. Baker to anyone!
