Extremely short visits. You have to beg for medication information as she looks annoyed. She's impatient and lacking compassion.

Possibly the worst, definately most disinterested doctor in Charleston, SC. I saw her 3 times. 3 times too many and she on top of everything else, overbilled me. What a mess that was straightening that out wit the insurance company.

Poor patient skills. Hurried, disinterested, condesending. In wrong field.

She is consistently running late. Expect to wait more than an hour. When you finally do see here, all she does is read a list of questions and write a prescription. Very impersonal and condescending. In my case, I tried to tell her Paxil wasnt working for me but she would not hear it. I realized if I wanted something other than Paxil, I would have to go to a new doctor because thats all she would prescribe me

I saw Dr. Book a number of years ago - I never wanted to say anything until now because I am detached from her care. toward the end of my time seeing her, she started pressuring me to enroll in a research study that would require me to increase my dose of bupe by 50%. How would that be beneficial (for me), other than to have another eligible person in her study? It's egregious. Any contrary opinion or concern I expressed she pathologized. She would never take my concerns seriously, because what am I but a recovering drug addict?

Dr Book is probably very smart and knowledge in her field, but she has no business seeing patients and her intellect would be better used behind the scenes. She lacks empathy and basic respect for her patients

I always have to wait about an hour to see her. She spends more time looking at her computer than at you in the appointment. we don't even get much discussed. Her time is more valuable than yours and she is better than you. If you have a problem with that then don't see her.
