Very Rude, uneducated....they talk very bad.

At first she seems very interested in giving But in no time at all it she makes me come more than I should have to. If I don't come I don't get my meds I need everyday for I am a diabetic. So I give in and come again and I get a statement from my insurance and things like depression, (which I am not), and other non diabetic reasons for the visit. This tells me that the insurance company would not pay for my visit, is they were honest. Also at my last visit came in promptly but was in a hurry to get out the door, what I found completely unacceptable is the 45 minutes it took to get a my blood drawn with one 1 person ahead of me and get check out. that is almost a 1 of my pay. Looking for a new doctor

While she's a pleasant Doctor I don't feel she has enough experience to treat patients with multiple, rather complicated health issues

I've been seeing Dr. Burkett for a few years now and she's been decent, but doesn't seem to listen well or give any opportunity to bring up topics. I recently had a physical with her and was unable to bring up anything I had on my list to discuss because she was in a rush to get out of the room. She's done the same thing with other appointments for injuries as well and I never bothered to make follow up appointments for them, even though I should have, because I figured she would rush through those too. Aside from that, she's friendly and explains everything she's doing and is relatively hands-on.

I recently moved to Michigan so I was unfamiliar with the area and the doctors. I was originally trying to schedule an appointment with another doctor at the same office, but she was booked until November! The nurse over the phone said Dr. Burkett was available the Friday I had wanted, so not wanting to wait more than two weeks for a physical check up, I scheduled an appointment. The nurses and staff were friendly and Dr. Burkett was also nice. I wanted to get a younger doctor and was glad to see that she was. It was not awkward during my whole check up at all and she was very good at explaining what she was going to be do next, such as describing what was going to happen and what I was going to feel. There was no sudden surprise. Her and I had a good conversation together with her assistant. She was not difficult when it came to requesting prescriptions and her examination was thorough (in my opinion). It was also great that her specialty was in women's health so I didn't need to find… another specialist. No complaints from me! I'd gladly schedule another appointment with her in the future.
