Dr. Sarah Marie Chavez, MD

Dr. Sarah is just the kind of doctor I was looking for. My appointment was on time, preliminaries done and she was in the room within 10 minutes. She asked questions, I asked questions, she did an exam, and answered all my questions. She was very professional and polite. Dr. Sarah really helped me, I needed to set up an appointment with a cardiologist, she did this for me. I live an hour away, she set up the lab work the same day so I would not have to make an additional appointment. This really helped me! Picked up my blood pressure meds right after the appointment. I am so pleased with my new doctor!

One reviewer said it best, " If only I had known she was a student, it would have explained a lot." What bothered me the most was the questions she asked. She asked questions which clearly could have been answered if she had read my chart. If that were not enough, almost challenging my answers. She was a fill in for my Doctor. However, this was the first time a Doctor filling in for my primary, ever had a condescending manner. If not the fact my body was in massive inflammation, I would have left and returned the next day. She is young and I guess trying to make her way. Medicine is about people. In my opinion she has some learning to do in the people skills category.

It is quite obvious that this "doctor" is still a student. She has developed no bedside manner and displays no actual knowledge in regards to medicine. She has left the room numerous times over the course of an appointment, obviously to confer with her superior because she had no clue how to proceed on her own. Learning curve aside, she displays absolutely no empathy or regard for her patients. They seem more like a burden than anything else to her.
