I was not to happy with my appointment. Thought it was rather odd that the office was in an apartment building. I was a victim of a sexual act and she asked if I liked sex. Needless to say I was not comfortable with that, that was not the real problem. It was depression that I was there for. Also I waited in the waiting room longer than the appointment. I could go on but no need to.

Dr. Flanders is a great doctor if you've done your research or are willing to be educated. She provides a much higher level of patient autonomy than most other psychiatrists, in my experience. I've been seeing her for 3 years when my illness flares too much for my PCP to help me manage. She might not be the right doctor for you if you're looking for someone to tell you what to do, rather than give you suggestions, help you weigh the pros and cos, and choose on your own.

I've been very upset about my relationship and job for many months. Dr. Flanders got right to the heart of my issues. She listened and listened and asked some very good questions and was extremely helpful. I'm very happy that I was referred to her.
