Dr. Sarah Evelyn Goodman, DO

I'm 80 years old and I've been a patient of 8 different family physicians over the past 60 years. Dr. Sarah Goodman is the best family physician I've ever had. She is knowledgeable, caring, friendly and will give you all the time you need to discuss your medical problem. She also knows when she should send you to a specialist. Several months ago, after I went to her with my last medical problem, she actually prayed for me in her office before I left. That's the only doctor that's ever prayed for me in my entire life. She referred me to a local gastroenterologist. After many different tests, including CT scans, MRI's, blood tests and exams, there was a growth discovered on the tail of my pancreas. He told my family that it was most likely Pancreatic cancer. Dr. Goodman referred me to another gastroenterologist at Barnes West in St. Louis. After other CT's, MRI's and other tests at Barnes it was discovered that the growth on my pancreas was gone.The gastroenterologist at Barnes said… there was no problem at all and dismissed me. Had Dr. Goodman not recognized there was a potential wrong diagnosis and referred me to the other gastroenterologist in St Louis, I might have thought I had cancer and would have started treatment for that. If you need a competent, caring family physician, Dr. Sarah Goodman is the real deal, that I very highly recommend.

Dr. Goodman is currently working with my daughter Gabby who has had an extensive history of gastroparesis and other internal medical issues. We feel so blessed to have such a caring and outstanding doctor to care for our daughter while she attends Grad school in Cape Girardeau.
