Dr. Sarah E Henry, MD

I've never met her. She handled my right hand after a car accident. While another surgeon worked on my two broken knees and broken ankle, she had my right hand. She simply taped the 4th and 5th fingers together and splinted the hand. Now, nine months after the surgery, the hand has still not healed and a CT scan shows a malunion at the third and fourth metacarpal. My new ortho doc tells me that she should have done the surgery at the time of the accident. How did she miss it? Apparently, she didn't want to mess with anything other than a folksy x-ray, and should have tried for a CT scan to see the real injuries that occurred to that complicated appendage known as the hand.

Dr. Henry did 3 surgeries two wrist and one on the ulnar nerve. Everything went perfect!!

LDr. Henry was recommended by my physician to remove a fingernail which was damaged 15 years ago when a small sharp stick pierced the skin between the nail and nail bed. The nail was permanently disfigured. Not one of the +10 doctors I asked over those years would remove it. Last year, the skin below the nail became irritated. Dr. Henry agreed to remove the nail. At that point, Dr. Henry had concerns but did not share them with me until I returned a week after surgery for check-up. She had removed the nail, and all suspicious tissue down to the bone and beyond the width of the nail, and had the presence of mind to forward that tissue for evaluation. Dr. Henry informed me that she suspected melanoma cells were present, and lab results proved her right. She recommended I call Mayo Clinic. The end result was that about 1 inch of my ring finger was removed and tests showed that melanoma had not traveled. The Mayo doctors were impressed with Dr. Henry's diligence and follow through, and… commented that she had more than likely saved my life. Melanoma is a devilish cancer. Superior Fellowship training makes Dr. Henry a standout in her field. I feel that I received the best possible care for my procedure from Dr. Henry.

More concerned with the cost of an MRI than treating my injury. Only wanted to give a shot and never even looked at the injury. Made it very clear to my husband an myself she did not want to treat my hand.

She is sincere and seems to care about you.
