Sarah R. Johnson

I believe that the NP role is a crucial and valuable part of the team caring for oncology patients. Thirty years ago, I chose oncology as my specialty because I believed it was a high and holy calling to provide care for patients at a vulnerable point in time. My philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, respect, and a commitment to holistic well-being. My faith in Christ as my Savior is an important part of who I am and inspires me to serve others with humility and integrity. I pray for wisdom in my decisions and strive to provide care that honors each patient’s unique journey, while incorporating evidence-based standards. It is my honor and privilege to be part of the team at UNC Rockingham. When I am not working, I enjoy baking sourdough bread, lifting weights, singing in my church choir and hanging out with my husband and 4 kids.
