Dr. Sarah K. Rainwater, MD

Sarah Rainwater, MD, provides compassionate, personalized care to children in the community. With a deep commitment to investing in the health and well-being of local families, she believes in building strong relationships with patients to help them thrive.

A native of the Shreveport-Bossier area, Dr. Rainwater attended C.E. Byrd High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Centenary College of Louisiana. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree at Louisiana State …University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport, where she also completed her combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency. Dr. Rainwater is board certified in both internal medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine) and pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics).

Dr. Rainwater and her husband, Dr. Derek Rainwater, are the proud parents of two children, Wesley and Meredith. In their free time, the Rainwater family enjoys cooking together and spending time outdoors.
