Dr. Sarah Louise Rohde, MD

I have already recommended Dr. Rohde to my brother-in- law, who travelled from Indiana just to see her. I have 110% confidence in Dr. Rohde's expertise, as well as her wonderful personality. There are multiple good reasons for her having 5 star ratings across the board. And I love her NP, Jamie Wiggleton, as well.

Dr Rhode is beyond the best in my book. She has been just unbelievable in all levels. She is an amazing doctor and surgeon and an amazing person. Just so friendly and supportive. Cannot say enough. I would 100% always tell people to go to VUMC for head and neck surgery and cancer

Excellent care

I found out early 2018 I had cancer in my vocal chords, radiation treatment went bad, and made condition worse, this caused a need for Trakeomody which was no help and I was lost (fed only through a tube, unable to sleep or breath without pain, and hospital stays with no end it seemed). I had given up on a regular life and didn't know what to do. My previous doctors did recommend, and were helpful in getting me to be able to meet with Dr. Rhode at Vanderbilt. In our conversation about my condition, and future - she gave me an option that would - (if successful) give me back much of my life, she gave me hope. I had condidence in her since it was obovious she knew her abilities and possibilities of a Larengectomy - and that it was most likely my only chance to survive and improve. Surgery was completed by Dr. Rhode (and I must mention her team of other physicans/nurses/staff), and and when problems arose, Dr. Rhode and her team were ready to react and correct. Today I am back at… home with my family, eating normally, gaining back already a major portion of the weight I had lost (and strenght and muscle), and can breath and sleep comfortably. I know I still have some issues to deal with, and will never be exactly what I was, but my Life Is Back. I will be grateful to Doctor Rhode (and as I mentioned her team - members who seem as dedicated and able as she is) for the rest of my life. She is a great doctor, has a wonderful way of treating you regarding serious cirmustances, and really cares about you as an individual. I cannot think of anything negative to say, she has given me another chance at life. Bless Her!!

I can't compare her work to other otalarawhatevers because I only had cancer once. Everything she said would happen did happen. She and her team removed my cancer and made me presentable again. That's more than I deserved. I can't thank her enough.

Dr Rohde has my heart felt gratitude. She saved my life, I trust her.
