Dr. Sarah Shreter-Labine, MD

Dr Shreter takes her time, asks all kinds questions and leaves no stone unturned when trying to find out what is wrong. She is caring, intelligent, and incredibly thorough. You definitely feel like you have her ful attention!

She is a very caring and dedicated doctor. She will call you after hours if you call and leave the office a message. I have been with this doctor for 17 years

We just moved from NH to MA. When I was looking for a doctor I searched online and I saw great reviews. I called her office and scheduled an appointment. Her schedule was booked but I told the one of the staff that I needed a physical for my daughter since the school requires it before the school year began. She is my daughter's doctor. When we came for the appointment Dr Sarah really took time in knowing my daughter's total well being. She is very personable and talked like a mom would to her children. I would recommend this kind of doctor to anyone.

While researching a new physician I read several reviews. I find it interesting that the reviews that had something negative were all marked as helpful and none of the positive reviews were marked as helpful. I have been a long time patient of Hawthorn Medical in Dartmouth, MA and have become increasingly unhappy with the care there. My last visit was the straw that broke the camels back. I called because I was sick and was given an appointment not with my doctor or nurse practitioner but with a nurse practitioner not even associated with my doctor. If I wanted to see just anyone I could've just gone to a walk-in, but I choose my physician who I assume chooses her associate, these people I trust, but to simply get a random provider is not appropriate. I was very unhappy with this type of care and decided to leave. I spent several weeks searching for an office more suitable to my needs. I picked this office and couldn't be happier. I saw Dawn, the PA and was very impressed. At the… visit, I met Dr. Shreter and was impressed. I was heard and helped. I am very surprised to read anything negative about this practice.

I recently recommended this office to a friend and she called because of a negative review about Dawn, Dr. Shreter's PA. I was very surprised to hear this as I needed to see Dawn once for a sick visit and since then I usually only see Dawn and I think she is great. She always gives her full attention and has worked hard with me to help with some of my issues. Perhaps she had a bad day but she has always been great. I know for a fact how well both Dr. Shreter and Dawn work as on more than one occasion I have gotten a call after 7 saying they were dscussing me and was given a follow up plan. In the past, I was seen by an NP and she was the only person in the office I saw in this office I get the benefit of both the doctor and the PA working together. Unfortunately a lot of people only think the MD is capable of caring for them and don't give PA/NP a chance in this case you can't go wrong with either one of them.

I recently transferred to Dr. Shreter and I just wanted to write about my experience. I have had three visits in the past 2 weeks and I am so happy I found this office. They have both been very thorough and compassionate. I haven't been feeling well and needed to find a doctor and heard of this office, so I decided to give it a try. I am very glad I did and couldn't be happier. We are currently trying to get to the bottom of my problem, but I know I am in good hands.

My daughter and I had an appointment scheduled for the same day. She saw Dr. Shreter and I couldn't be more then happy that she did. Dr. Shreter is very thorough and you can tell she cares for her patients. She answered all of my questions and explained everything very well. I will definetly be seeing her again. Then after my daughters appointment I saw her P.A Dawn. Dawn was nice but I didn't feel the care and true concern as I saw with Dr. Shreter. I had several concerns that I just wanted some answers. I know that everything cannot be found and answered in a matter of one visit but I would have at least like to be acknowledged by her that i wasn't crazy. She even asked me what I wanted her to treat. She asked what could she do for me that my last doctor couldn't. At this point I felt as if I had been judged just like with all the other doctors that treated me like a number. All I wanted was answers and no one could help. I had been very healthy prior to all that had… happened to me, so I've come to know that something is just "not right". She was ready to pass me off to another doctor which is the main reason why I have gotten into holistic types of healthcare because of doctors that look like they are only out to help and treat what the insurance companies will cover. I basically told her that I hopped from doctor to doctor because I haven't been getting answers and they always look at me like I have 3 heads! I don't know if she is just not used to treating patients that present with multiple symptoms. Anyway I am a very respectful person and not a type to write a review at all but I'm writing this in hopes that she may read this and see how first impressions really do make or break your relationship as a client/ patient . Based on the other reviews maybe I just had a bad experience that day. I don't know but what I do know is that with me finally being persistent that something was truly wrong she decided to order up some blood work to rule out anything. Finally Dr Shreter came in and told me 'her' concerns and she was really wanting to get to the bottom of it all. She ordered multiple other tests and told me why and what she was concerned about. Something that Dawn didn't even acknowledge. I really wanted to appreciate Dawn for her work but I just couldn't get the vibe that she truly cared. I would not have minded to see her at all if I didn't get this first impression. It makes it difficult for me wanting to book any other appointments with her because i will have my guard up already knowing the care i will receive. Even the person that was with me felt as if she was looking at me like I was crazy. She mentioned it to me as soon as Dawn left the room. She asked me what I had thought and we both came out with the same conclusion. I guess what I'm really trying to do here in writing this review is to tell everyone of those doctors out there to truly care for there patients as Dr. Shreter has showed is possible. I still will continue going there for my families appointments with Dr Shreter. She is an amazing caring doctor.

My wife and I (and our two daughters) are quite satisfied patients of Dr. Shreter. She and her staff take considerable time in getting to know their patients and searching for the root cause of an illness. She has seen my daughters off-hours to administer care and knows the details of previous visits.Her staff is friendly and professional. They (or Dr. Shreter) are good with follow-up calls and making sure a prescription is available at our local pharmacy.I highly recommend her practice and will continue to seek her care.

I am a relatively new patient to Dr. Shreter. I had not been to a doctor in a very long time, ok in about 30 years. I was very nervous. Dr. Shreter had a very calming effect on me and am very glad I went in. After my initial visit, I had to return for follow up and was originally scheduled with Dr. Shreter, but she was running late so I saw her physician assistant. She did a great job answering all of my questions patiently, then she went to get Dr. Shreter to come in to review things. If I had known I could find a medical office like this I wouldn't have waited so long to come in. I am very glad I have found Dr. Shreter, her PA and staff. I will no longer neglect my care.

Apparently, the person rating before mine is a little bitter. I have been seeing both Dr. Shreter and Dawn for the past 2 or so years and both have been very good. I had a very difficult medical diagnosis and Dawn was the one who caught it. I am very grateful to both Dawn and Dr. Shreter for all they have done for me and wouldn't trust my health care to anyone else. In fact, my family are all patients in the office and all are very happy with the care they get in the office. I don't generally post ratings, but when I read something that inaccurate I have to speak up. I can't possibly believe that my family and myself could all be so wrong about the office.
