Dr. Sarala Kanthala Reddy, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Reddy for several years. I originally came across her when she was working at Huntington Hospital. I was a patient then, and I had the pleasure of her being my doctor. When I was being discharged I was upset that I wouldn't be seeing her again. Thankfully, she also had an office outside of the hospital. I became her patient. I had several years of trauma, and she worked with me prescribing me medications for my conditions. She's very good with pharmacology and very familiar with side effects and adverse reaction between different medications. We've worked together to get the right mix of medications for me. I have to say, I'm a changed person since I first met her. She's taken the time to listen to me and advise me on certain situations. I'm thankful she's my doctor. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a caring, compassionate doctor that listens and helps with the healing process.

Even after being treated for a few diagnoses by different psychiatrists (not including Dr. Reddy), I was still being hospitalized after failed attempts to control the disorders. But then, over ten years ago, someone recommended I switch to Dr. Reddy. I did, and I've been with her ever since (and in this time I have never had to be hospitalized again). I trust Dr. Reddy's judgement. She works with you. I feel that she listens to my concerns and ideas for my treatment, and will accommodate when appropriate. Dr. Reddy always has my best interest in mind when prescribing medications (or not). Dr. Reddy will always spend enough time with me when needed. I never feel rushed, and I do feel understood when I try to explain what I'm thinking and feeling. As for returning phone calls when I need to speak with her, I find Dr. Reddy quick to respond. Highly recommended.

Dr. Reddy is a great doctor. She will talk to you for as long as you may need all well making sure to hear anything you have to tell her. She is caring and will answer all your questions professionally. I would definitely recommend

I have been a patient of Dr.Reddy’s for several years now and can not say anything bad. She was so helpful when I was in a dark place. She may be retrained and reserved but she knows her stuff. After many years of other doctors misdiagnosing Me Dr.Reddy had me Properly diagnosed and RX regulated within 3 months of seeing her. She was able to do what no other Dr. or therapist had been able to. She changed my life. She takes the time to talk to me and check into lab work. There has been zero wait time as well. The front desk can be a bit more kind and gentle on the phone but that is such a little complaint compared to the expertise and experienced doctor that is the real reason for being there.

My mother was a patient for at least five years. Was geriatric dementia patient. She methodically ordered scripts monthly, offered no sort of psychological therapy, what so ever. When my mother became ill, she sent me to er with mom, , and never followed up once, to see how her patient? was...I should have listened to the local feed on her she is an insurance turnstile, think twice before choosing her as an psychiatric physician!

I had seen 3 previous psychiatrists, and was hospitalized twice in those few years. Then, I switched to Dr Reddy. That was 11 years ago, and I haven't been hospitalized since. That is why I trust Dr Reddy, pretty much literally, with my life.

Called for appointment. The voice mail message detailed office hours (note - I called when office should have been open). I left message asking for appointment. I repeated my name and number twice. Never heard back. It would seem that a psychiatrist's office would understand people who are calling are at minimum emotionally distressed and need call backs. My poor rating is because that fundamental baseline was not met. Dr Reddy may be wonderful but if her practice is run like this wonderful is meaningless.

I am speaking on behalf of Dr. Reddy's secretary, NOT Dr. Reddy herself. The woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I would not want this woman working for my business.

I have been seeing Dr. Reddy for about four years. She has always had an answer to my questions. When she didn't know the answer, she always told me point-blank that she did not know, and she promptly followed up via phone or in person to inform me of her conclusions. I cannot say the same about many people I have dealt with in life generally. Beyond that, Dr. Reddy is candid and smart. Anyone who speaks with her will notice these attractive qualities within a matter of minutes.
