Dr. Saretta Zanjanchian

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr Saretta Zanjanchian, and I would caution anyone with more complex vision needs to look elsewhere. While Dr. Zanjanchian may be fine for straightforward prescriptions, when I explained that the sample lenses were not working for me, she was completely inflexible and insisted that “this was the prescription” — even though I still couldn’t see properly. It felt like there was no interest in working with me to actually find a solution. I also found Dr. Zanjanchian's communication style very rigid, which made it hard to feel comfortable bringing up concerns. The exam cost $170, which was a significant financial burden for me as a full-time unpaid caretaker for my ill parents and a graduate student. Unfortunately, I received no effective care, so that money was completely wasted. From everything I’ve read, getting the right prescription is a balance of art and science, and it takes listening to the patient’s experience. Unfortunately, that… wasn’t my experience here. The situation left me so anxious that I never even went back to get my final prescription. I will say that another doctor I saw at the same clinic in the interim, Dr. Bhavani, was pleasant and more open, but she was not the one who ultimately provided my last trial pair. And when I asked to see the main doctor who owns the practice, Dr. Hollingsworth, I was told she was not accepting new patients — which left me feeling like I had no remedy for the situation. I hope this feedback encourages more care, flexibility, and communication with patients who don’t fall into the “easy prescription” category.
