Dr. Sarika Kiran Desai, DO

Originally, I was quite happy with Dr. Desai as she has a very holistic approach to medicine and does a wonderful job as a physician. However, a month before next appt her office left a voicemail saying I had an upcoming appointment (ok), that some bloodwork would be need prior (ok), and to discuss a new membership model (not sure what that was but, sure, I'll listen). I was on vacation so a couple of weeks later I finally tried calling back - took a week between no answers or not returning my call to get in touch. They mention the membership without explaining, then finally say it will cost me $1000 per year PLUS insurance to essentially do things, like make timely appt, that a doctor's office should be doing. No real benefits, just a money grab. And they had already cancelled my appt. because I didn't call back right away. Sent me on my way with a "good luck find someone else". I read this as "We don't give a sheet about your health just money." STAY AWAY unless you like overpaying!

BEWARE!!! I took my teenage daughter in for a consultation, they charged me $550 non refundable enrollment fee plus an additional $250 (which came later to my surprise), $800 for a 30 minute consultation and a print out of a dietary guideline I could have found online. She threw out multiple diagnoses that did not fit any of my daughter’s symptoms, referred me to other doctors then sent in a script for blood pressure medicine without my knowledge or consent. Completely unprofessional and rude not only to us but to her staff, my daughter was so overwhelmed she left in tears. Find someone else, her attitude alone is not worth the headache and her system is a scam.

I went here with severe heart issues. After initial visit they called me and were extremely rude demanding I call my insurance and Medicare. I was not allowed to even speak to resolve their billing errors. They then cut off my care, cancelled my appointments, refused to schedule new appointments or have doctor call me. There was no concern about my health even after I resolved their billing issue. Both my insurance and Medicare stated there was no reason to cut me off. i made 4 requests, through her personal friend and her office, for the doctor to call me. I made numerous requests that were ignored for records so I could get care from another doctor. the other doctor made over 20 requests for records. Even a doctor she referred me to was unable to get records timely. This doctor made me suffer with heart pain, lost sleep, oxygen deprivation and more over their billing errors. She needs to have her license sanctioned or suspended in my opinion. Worst doctor ever!!

I have been frequenting the office for a few months, Dr Desai has been amazing with me and really taken the time with me to help me get to the root of my ailments. She is so smart and has been so thorough! Not to mention the office is so clean and calming and her staff is very friendly. I feel like my time is valued here as well which is HUGE for me as I never have to wait past my appointment time. Great overall experience.

She was very kind and empathetic with the very complex medical nightmare presented to her. At the same time, she did not sugarcoat anything and gave an honest and practical summary of the diagnosis and treatments available. It was immediately apparent to me that she is a gifted and compassionate doctor with a brain. So happy and blessed to have found her!

Who in the world would rate Dr. Desai any lower than five stars. She is the best. Most men doctors don't listen, but Dr. D does.

These reviews must somewhat false... there is no way Dr. Desai deserves a 4.6. I was nice and polite but because I did not have a family doctor and did not sign a release form by accident for Medicare (which is not needed). She was easily offended and very insecure. I took a lot of time to type a complete cover letter for my visit... but she refused and/or would not take the time to read it. Bottom line ... she refused to treat me. Complete medical negligence and very unprofessional.

Dr. Desai is awesome !!! She has been right by my side thru all my testing to make sure I am ok, comfortable and that the testing is done correctly which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Desai spends time listening to me and explaining everything to me. Every doctor should take notes from Dr. Desai as to how to actually and literally be there for their patients.

Dr. Desai is one of the best Cardiologist that I have seen. She's very informative and never leaves me in the dark with prognosis or diagnosis. Her concern always is how I am feeling and my over well being. I am so lucky to be under her care. Definitely recommend her to anyone seeking the best professional care.

I hadn't been to the doctor in many years out of fear and then Dr. Desai was recommended to me. I was still scared but she made me feel comfortable right away. I went in for my blood pressure and after doing a full workup helped me get in with other specialists because she was concerned with other areas of my health. She got my blood pressure under control and started treating a blood clot she found and that has also been resolved. If she hadn't eased my mind and gotten me to trust doctors again, I wouldn't have found the other problems I have.
