She doesn’t know her stuff. Find someone better that cares about their patients health. I was having major side effects from the Synthroid she had me on and she kept increasing the dose. She neglected to listen to my serious side effect complaints and kept telling me a needed to stay on it. After researching and consulting with top Thyroid doctors I discovered she had me on suppression Hormone therapy when I never needed it to begin with. So for two years she put me through a ton of pain and suffering for no reason.

I asked to see Dr. Rao because she has an impressive resume in the areas of endocrinology and metabolism issues. I have had for the last two years or so problems with hypothyroidism and slow metabolism. Unfortunately, she told me that she could not help me that she focuses on cancer cases and could not recomended nor knew any other doctor in Medstar that deals with metabolic issues and that she had other patients and left!
