Dr. Saroj Joshi, MD

This doctor knows her stuff. She is bright, compassionate, and concerned. Definitely would recommend.

Tops!

I saw her for 4+ years from age 14-18. I was having a rough time in highschool. She then diagnosed as bipolar. Furthermore she put me on over 10 diff Rx medications, heavy dosages, that made me physically ill and my symptoms actually got worse (mixing both lithium with mood stabilizers, anti-depressants and more which were cancelling each-other out and making things way worse for me). I then at age 24, after 10 years of being on those meds, got re-evaluated and turns out, whoops ! I'm not bipolar. I'm now 33 and have been off meds for about 10 years. Not bi-polar and feeling quite well. Never touched a medication again. Highly recommend that this doctor no longer is able to "treat" children...

Dr. Joshi is unsympathetic. She spends the entire appointment with a computer in front of her, supposedly taking notes - however, every time I saw her she asked many of the same questions that, had she been taking notes, did not need to be asked again. She also filled my prescription with a diagnosis that I do not have, without telling me, and then tried to defend herself as well as blaming me. Totally unhelpful with trying to find a solution, as she recommended switching back to a medication that I had found ineffective (and had taken for years). Stay away.

I saw Dr. Joshua for several years as an adolescent and young adult. She overprescribed and caused renal disease. I will die an early death because of her "treatment". I found her arrogant and uninformed about other forms of healing including meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy. I would never recommend anyone seeing this MD. See a psychotherapist instead who is trained and practices forms of talk therapy.
