I am not a patient of Dr. Jafari. Instead, I am the front desk manager of an oral surgeon he refers to when a tooth has been determined to not be treatable by endodontic procedure. He is very caring and skilled. We don't look forward to removing a tooth as we would prefer for it to be saved and restored - and when we find a tooth that doesn't need an extraction we are delighted to send them to Dr. Jafari. We trust him and know that his patients are receiving the best care.

I’m a dentist and when I had a “hot” tooth that needed a root canal I couldn’t think of none other than Dr. Jafari. I was anxious at first as this was my first root canal but Dr. Jafari’s gentle touch and calming demeanor immediately put me at ease. He numbed me perfectly and would not touch the tooth until I was completely numb. He performed a perfect root canal and I did not feel anything. There have been times where I’ve had discomfort during a filling procedure in the past but to feel nothing during a root canal- that is priceless. To top it all off, he has a great sense of humor and can make you laugh during the procedure. He also has an amazing and attentive staff. If you ever need a root canal, I would highly recommend Dr. Jafari.

I felt ripped off by exorbitant fees for non-affected tooth testing (something other doctors include in the evaluation fee). Took some time to resolve with Aetna. He reminded me often that he had the right to charge whatever he wanted for non-covered services. $75 to touch my tooth with a cold q-tip?! Ouch.

Dr. Sasan Jafari saw me for a tooth that required either a root canal or extraction. Jafari advised a root canal over extraction, using phrases like "needed it done yesterday" and "once-and-done." I felt like he knew what he was talking about. He performed the root canal and declared the operation a success, despite increased levels of pain in my tooth and sensitivity to hot and cold, which usually indicate a failed endodontic operation. I have had the tooth examined by another endodontist, who says the tooth is still infected and that I should ask my current endodontist to either re-do the root canal or apply my funds for an extraction. After discussing with Jafari, he now denys all responsibility for his work. I paid over $6000 [out-of-pocket] for Dr. Jafari's services and recommendations, which makes this *lack-of-success* very costly. I'll need to spend an additional $5,000 to repair the work from Jafari. Total over $10,000. The problem is that Dr. Jafari is more… interested in running a business [and pocketing money] than a healing medical practice. !!! My advice is to find someone who accepts dental insurance and who is willing to stand behind their work. !!!
