Dr. Satish Sanku Chander Rao, MD

This place is a scam. Very unfortunate to be able to trust a healthcare provider. I have been participating in his research for two years. He tried to charge my insurance against what was stated in the research consent. He was also dishonest about the choices I had in the treatments. He is a doctor with no medical ethics, and he never tried to address the issue. The only thing I heard from the was false hope and lies. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

One of the most attentive doctor's I've ever been to. Takes the time to listen and properly work thru the health issue.

Each patient will have to decide if they thought Dr. Rao ordered a high volume of invasive probing for the benefit of his research and papers or for the benefit of his patient. Most gastroenterologists and colo-rectal surgeons do not have a neurology background. So they do not perform these invasive probing tests or even order them. Before you make an appointment and have to wait weeks or even months to see Dr. Rao, you have to decide if you want to bare all and be probed by various fingers and instruments.

Dr. Rao is not doubt an accomplished MD in GI medicine. However, under his care I endured several tortuous tests that were designed specifically by him, I was told, that involved invasive procedures, major discomfort, and spent hours taking these supposed diagnostic tests. After all that was said and done - no clear diagnosis was discussed and no formal protocol for going forward to help with my GI issues. Tests included snaking a tube down my nose into my duodenum, hooked up to a computer that I had to wear for 24 hours; breathing into bags over a 6 hour period on the half hour; getting enormous enemas to determine how long it could be held; not to mention the discomfort of probing and poking in areas that are not used to such. My feeling is that these tests did more for Dr Rao's research interests than it did for me as a patient. I felt like I was a guinea pig and would translate into data in a paper without benefit of proper care from an MD in the meantime. Very disappointed with… the test-happy Dr Rao.

Great doctor. very understanding and very knowledgable. Very patient and gives enough time to listen as well as to explain to patients. Talks and explains things to patients at their level, talks simple language. Very good diagnosis, good treatment. Great doctor and greater human being.

I also had colon issues that my doctors back home could not diagnose so of course it had to be "all in my head". I saw Dr Rao and after only three days of testing he found out what was causing me to have medical issues. What a wonderful doctor and a fine human being.More doctors should be like Dr Rao, the medical system would be a better place. You rock Dr Rao!!!

I have had stomach issues for 3 years..went thru tons of testing...my own family doctor said it was just in my head and that I had a eating disorder...my gastro doctor told me I needed to see Dr. Rao...Dr. Rao read my records and test that had been done by my gastro physician back home..Dr. Rao's staff got me in to see him and he spent 1 hour and 1/2 with me and did 1 1/2 weeks of test on me...he found out what was wrong with me in 1 1/2 weeks of testing that no one else could find!!! He is wonderful, caring, professional and just simply a great man! If you have gastro problems see Dr. Rao and his medical team they are fantastic!!!

Dr Rao always treats his patients with respect and shows how much he cares. All doctors should learn from his bedside manner. The medical field would be a much better place.

went from doctor to specialist to specialist.....my doctors made sure i understood how important it was for me to go to and get help from Dr. Rao and now that I have met him I understand why they look up to him so much.
