Dr. Saulat Mushtaq, MD

Great doctor that is compassionate and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions in an easy to understand way and was receptive to all my questions. Her office staff is friendly and helpful. I see her at the Anderson Maryville office. It is easy to get in and wait time is minimal. She is a wonderful rheumatologist and is very professional.

This doctor was very uncaring, and did not have good bedside manner. She gave me advice that I could have found off the internet and barely did an exam. She was not friendly. Her staff were kind enough. She showed up 45 min late to the exam. I was told by others that she is never on time. I left the office feeling no better off than I did when I left. She told me basically there was nothing she could do for me and criticized me at the same time. She also said she would do tests for me, but then she would not be able to help me in the future, and that if she put me on any medication, it would just make things worse. Then she told me to come back every 3 months. Why? So that she can tell me she still can't help me? One of the most ridiculous doctor appointments I have ever had in my life. I do not recommend her at all.

My 92 year old mother was treated horribly in the Edwardsville, Il office of the physician. The receptionist was curt. The doctor was curt, and rude with my mom. The only positive outcome was a referral to an excellent podiatrist who treated my mother with compassion and respect.

She is very rude and kept cutting me off when I tried to respond. I left in tears and will never go back. I'm cancelling my follow up appt with her tomorrow. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor.

I am very pleased with the care that I get from this physician. I have found her to be forthcoming with answers to any questions that I might have. My wife and daughter are medical professionals as well and are pleased with my treatment from her. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a rheumatologist.

I was diagnosed with Paramyalgia Rhemstica after several doctors could not figure out my condition. Dr Mushtaq diagnosed it in 2 weeks after appropriate testing. I could not get out of bed and was in extreme pain. After she prescribed my medicine I was feeling much better and back to work. So thsnkful for her disgnosis snd treatment. She is extremely knowledgeable and very thoroug. Thank you Dr Mushtaq!

First visit she tells me within 3 minuets that I'm depressed. I told her I wake up sick almost everyday and despite seeing doctors for the last two years, that I'm still sick. I said anyone would look depressed. My doctor sent me to her for a positive lupus test, over a year of high levels of inflammation and extreme fatigue, along with several other issues. She also tells me after a few minuets of knowing me that I don't have celiac, which I tested positive for and was doing well on the GF diet. She then tried to change my medication before any test results come back. She was over a half hour late for my first appointment and over 40 minutes late for my second appointment which was at 830 am. I was 10 minuets late for a follow up appointment ( I live 40 minutes away, bad traffic) and she refused to see me. The office said she's running two hours behind. So in other words, she wanted me to wait two hours passed my appointment sitting in the office. She's been nothing but… rude, confusing, doesn't answer my questions or concerns and is not caring at all for a doctor. I had a really hard time understanding her English at times and she wasn't happy about repeating herself. This was a huge waist of my time and money. Not to mention that I'm still sick. She wasn't interested in the blood work reports I brought with me and never looked at the four pages I filled out in her office. I know this , because I still had them with all my papers that she didn't look at. I'm now waiting another month to see another doctor in this office. I will do my homework before this next appointment however. Most of the office staff are very helpful and friendly with the exception of one. I never write reviews but I'm hoping to save someone from what I just went through.

She is rude and aggressive. I was diagnosed with RA and had the labs from my regular MD sent to her and she asked me why I was there, added in at least 2 other illnesses, talked down to me, questioned the meds I am already on, and told me that if I didn't follow her plan, I would be disabled. All without a single diagnostic test. Save your money and sanity and do not go to her.
