Dr. Saundra Barnett-Reyes, MD

Dr Reyes was my dr. for about 5 years after returning home from Texas. Due to an unfortunate incident I had to relocate to Arizona, which I regretted ever since. I had been through several drs., and none compared to her. And I even lost my private health insurance and I had to go to Arizona Mental Health care, and that was a nightmare, well to make a long story short. Im back in NY, OCM has changed to Circa. not very helpful to severely psychiatric patients, and I wish I had her as my doctor again. But I'm actually coping without psychiatric meds, but probably not the best way but now my son has the same illness and I want him to see her, because he will at least talk to her, and I hardly said a peep to her about what was going on in my head and she helped me. So I know she might be able to work a miracle on him. I'm even willing to give her information on what was going on in my head during that time if it would help her to help others with Schizophrenia. So any of you that should… be so lucky to see Dr Reyes for a dr. I waited long times too. in a very nice relaxing atmosphere comfortable furniture, and it was so peaceful. She is busy because she cares, sometimes delayed taking care of a patient in need of urgent care or more time! If you want a quick fix, or fast food psychiatry go to Dr. Dolittle somewhere else! I have seen her for many years and she is always kind, sincere and encouraging. She worked with me to find a medication regimen and provided supportive resources that worked for me. I can not say enough good things about her.

Excellent, very intelligent doctor. Always knows what you are thinking. She has the ability to get you through whatever life throws at you...

AVERAGE wait time is about an hour and a half. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Nice enough doctor, but receptionist is incredibly rude and lies often. For whatever you need, she will tell you a lie. Keep calling and demand to speak with the doctor, and when you *finally* get through, she will be very nice. She just wants money. She is knowledgable and knows what medicine you need, but it's a LOT of hassle for a 20 minute session where she just needs to write out a prescription (espectially if you just need a new script for a medication you have been on forever). Not really worth it.
