Dr. Saurabh Shah, MD

I met with Dr. Shah to discuss my arrhythmia and to my surprise he was so comprehensive and took so much time to make sure that I completely understood everything that could occur during my ablation procedure as well as the risk associated with the various aspects of the procedure. As a result of my extensive consultation with him it gave me a great comfort level going into the procedure and post procedure I am feeling just fine. I am awaiting my 3-month follow-up but I am very optimistic that the procedure was successful and I would recommend him to anyone.

After my first cardiac arrest, my GP helped get me hooked up with Dr Shah, as he felt he was one of the brightest and most exceptional doctors not just in Chicago, but in the nation, to deal with my difficult to understand AFib. I have been under his care since early 2010, have had two major surgeries under his care, and don't feel I could have any better care anywhere in this city. Intelligent, capable, on top of new or changing trends and techniques. And he is exceedingly experienced. You will find no EP/cardiologist in the area better and more capable. For each visit he listens, he takes great notes, he remembers. He is pleasant, personable and intuitive. He also pays close attention to what is happening in your life and suggests health care that matches what that needs. He is ready to act when it seems that this is what is required, but he is also more than willing to wait and watch and see how things are going before taking action. When he has me in his office,… there is nothing more important than me, his patient. Makes him get behind his schedule sometimes, BUT to have that kind of attention for something that is so critical to my overall health, well, it is a small price to pay to wait a few minutes. I don't feel my GP could have found a better EP/cardiologist for me. I want a young, intelligent doctor on the cutting edge. But one who sees me as the husband and father of two young children that I am. My quality of life matters to him, and his empathy shows at every visit. Anyone under his care would be privileged to have him as their EP/cardiologist.

dr shah is acecent dr,anddefinatly is b=very intelligent, however, unfortunately he does not have the best :bed-side"manner and sometimes acts as though is patients are far less superior to him,ifind he is somewhat condescending however he is. With that said, he is a good dr and like i stated earlier is very intelligentand knowledgable
