For being a dr she doesn't seem to act like one she took my medicine from the pharmacy but she wasn't able to refill them .she no professional doctor too bad this is the kinda of people who are tired of there job or profession and can't stand people that are overweight like me I have my reasons why I'm sick but of course she doesn't know that because she never took her time to read my chart but she's really good on making bad judgment on her patients.

ABSOLUTE WORST DR, WORST DR'S OFFICE, WORST RECEPTIONIST/ADMIN (DONA)! Horrific communication skills! Extremely RUDE! Refuse to patient answer questions... Donna is technically incompetent in phone systems and in technology, screams at patients and blames patients for her own shortcomings! Donna was very unprofessional and vindictive to me because to reported her for abuse and negligence, AVOID THESE CRACKS LIKE THE PLAGUE

Dr Barakat has guided me through more than ten years of type 2 diabetes. She continues to be knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Have recommended her to friends and family.

I was sent to Dr. Barakat by my insurance company. Never having experienced an issue pertaining to my thyroid, I never knew what to expect. From the first visit, she was an extremely rude and arrogant person. Whenever I would ask her a question, she would hold her finger up and tell me to be quiet because she was speaking. The second time I went, she said that I have a type of cancer, and told me that she warned me the first that I am suspicious for it (not true). She proceeded to get mad at me when I cried at the fact that I have cancer (I in fact am not officially diagnosed with cancer, but I am suspicious for it, which she failed to mention). She is an extremely rude person. Donna is good on getting back on calls only when it's an urgent matter, other wise you may have to wait a week to get a response back from them. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. She lacks empathy for her patients, and only cares about seeing as many possible as a day. I do not believe that she is a… good doctor.

She is very nervous

I saw Dr. Barakat for thyroid issues in Nov 2017. I wanted to hear her honest opinion since I didn't feel my PCP was giving me a proper diagnosis regarding my blood work and symptoms. She has been in this business for 30 years. She doesn't beat around the bush and is very direct. That's what I wanted. She gave me a new prescription which I got the same day and she suggested that I stop eating refined carbs and exercise frequently to get off the excess weight I have gained over the past 5 years. She is right and I am going back for a followup in January. I felt totally confident in her diagnosis and trust her opinion. When I left her office I felt like I had seen the best doctor ever!!! I never felt disrespected in any way. Her receptionist prefers that you leave a message and she will call you back. She is actually a nice person and I didn't find her to be rude.

Dr Barakat is very straightforward with her patients very professional. She really cares about her patients a lot. She may be strict with her patients but yet she is very kind,

Dr. barakat lacks empathy to her patients. She simply doesn't care about you as long as she can make money of you. Good luck trying to set an appointment with Donna. She will never answer and will force you to leave a voicemail.

The staff are rude and slow. They never answer the phone and only communicate through voicemail. Dr. Barakat is the worst doctor I've met. She's rude, arrogant and never cares for her patient.

BE AWARE!! THIS DOCTOR HAS NOT EMPATHY WITH PATIENT. SHE IS MANIPULATIVE AND CARELESS ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS. THE WOMAN ON THE FRONT DESK "DONNA" SHE IS THE MOST CRUDE, MEAN AND RUDE CREATURE IN THIS DEPARTMENT. SHE HAS NOT CARE FOR THE FEELING OF SICK PEOPLE. SHE IS IRONIC, ARROGANT AND INSULT PEOPLE TREAT THEM WITH NOT RESPECT AT ALL. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE THEY TREAT SE PATIENTS LIKE INCOME IN THEIR POCKETS.
