She completed her psychiatric residency at the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC, in 2006. Before her residency, she graduated with a medical degree from The Uniformed Services University of Health Science in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1992. She is dual board-board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
