Dr. Sayed Basel, DO

Good job

I loved Dr. Basel, but I could see why others may shy away from his care. He orders a ton of tests, asks a ton of questions, and over explains everything. Bad thing? I do not think so. The more information that I could get the better. He is a little over the top at times but definitely cares about your mental and physical well being. He is very thorough in his testing. If there was something to be concerned about in my pregnancy, he would have known. Also, very strict about weight. I did not like it when I was pregnant, but postpartum i was so thankful. He made me feel comfortable throughout my pregnancy and delivery.

He needs his license taken away! He should not have the privilege of helping out women!

Dr. Basal makes me confident in his abilities as a medical practitioner. Dr. Basal does order a lot of tests but that makes me confident that he leaves nothing to question. I have always had good communication with him as my doctor. If I ask a question he answers it. The one thing I really like about Dr. Basal is that if I am worried about some aspect of my health he will research the answer if he cannot answer it immediately; on the next visit he will address it and have the answer. Dr. Basal also makes sure all of my other physical concerns are being addressed. He just doesn't ask about women's health issues but always about anything having to do with my overall medical history. This leads me to believe he cares about my quality of life as a whole person.

Dr. Basel is very unprofessional; he doesn’t answer questions and he assumes things about you without looking at your chart. He orders way too many test and he never explains the results or the purpose of the test. He wanted me to go see him every two week just because I’m over 35; when I went to my new Dr. she explained that he was doing tests or prescribing medication that were not necessary. I learned more about my pregnancy the first day I went to my new Dr. that with Dr. Basel in all those appts. during my first trimester. To make it worse, his waiting time in his office is always long; one time I waited like an 45 to be taken in and like another 45 minutes to be seen inside. Every visit was uniformative and it always left me with anxiety. I do not recommend him as a Dr.

This doctors questions a lot but, its to get a better understanding on how to treat you. I saw a lot of doctors during my pregnancy but, he was the most concern about my pregnancy and health. Yes, a lot of other doctors seem to be friendlier, but he has a big heart and take his job very seriously.

This is by far the worst Doctor I have ever seen. In an unfortunate circumstance where by dr and the others in his practice were all on medical leave or vacation during my scheduled csection I was given no choice but to go to him. At my preop appointment there was not one question asked about my pregnancy or baby, no heart check, nothing. However he did question when I lost my virginity, how many sexual partners I have had abd how many during my pregnancy. Might I add that I am married!!? He tried convincing me to come to the hospital that Sunday and tell them I'm in labor so he could do my csection while on call verses coming in that Monday. I of course didn't agree. He finished up my csection abd walked out of the operating room and didn't come back again for two days when he discharged me. He did of course bill my insurance for "checking on me" the second day. He didn't bother allowing me to eat again until the second day, two days with out food. And for pain he sent me home with… Motrin. At my two week check he didn't check my incision but did ask if I've been sexually active in the last two weeks! They insusted I needed to come back to see HIM not my regular doctor in 4 weeks for a breast and pelvic exam to "make sure I healed". Nothing needed to heal. I took a few months to feel back to normal after such a traumatic experience. Thankfully he is under investigation now though. I hope no other woman goes through what I and many others have gone through with him.

I had a surgical procedure that Dr Basel performed. It was extremely painful and ultimately did not work. It was a waste of time, money, and caused so much pain. The numbing shot was excruciating and I still felt the procedure happening, because I think he didn't wait long enough for the area to numb. I do not recommend this doctor.
