Dr. Sayyed Abdolvahhab Sohrab, MD

I wouldn't refer this Dr. to my worst enemy.

I waited 9 months for this appointment. I have a head injury. He didn't read the neuropsych evals in my file and not much of anything else. "My soul is going to die, because of my depression." Question: what came first the head injury or the depression? Never had a doctor order blood work for HIV 12 years after the incident and 10 years post sexual activity?

I saw Dr. Sohrab at the University of Michigan outpatient clinic. The neurology clinic assigns doctors based on patient symptoms and concerns. After reading the comments on how women patients were treated I was very concerned as to how I would be treated. I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Sohrab was nothing like described in those negative comments. He took his time answering all my questions and asking me questions. He was very respectful and kind. I have only seen him one time and will return for my follow up next month. At this point, I am very satisfied.

This doctor did not listen to my needs, and because he did not respect my religious stance on medical care, TO BE CRUEL, he referred me to doctor with whom he did not have good relations. I didn't get any help whatsoever from him, and he wasted my time and money, as well as wasted my referring doctor's time.If that's how you want to be treated, go for it.

Dr. seems to have problems with females asking questions, only seems to want to address the males. Talks down to the 2 females I brought into his office but spoke well to the male attendant and the male patient that was brought the following day,, i wont bring back the patient's I care for.

I was misiagnosed by two other neurologists with Multiple Sclerosis and was treated for years with no results. Dr Sohrab reviewed all my medical records, specifically my MRI and showed me the findings. He took me off the medicine I was on for MS. He treated me for electrolite imbalances I had. I owe my happiness and wellness to him.

He is a unique physician: Very knowledgeable and kind, and his staff are the best.

I was mis-diagnosed by Dr. Sohrab with Myasthenia Gravis in 2009 after MRI, CT Scan, EMG, Single fiber EMG, etc. Was on variety of meds for months. My Primary Care Physician referred me to another Neurologist whom after reviewing bloodwork diagnosed hypocalcemia, not MG. Granted, hypocalcemia mimicked a fair number of the signs of MG, but blood markers and Acetylcholine receptor antibodies showed different. Very nice doctor, excellent staff and facilities

He shows empathy and compassion. His office staff is friendly and I feel like a patient, not a number. I highly recommend him to anyone I know in need of a neurologist.

He is the most thorough doctor I've been to. He takes a LOT of time to explain things and he looked at EVERY page of my MRI.
