ABOUT DR. ALLEGRETTI
Dr. Allegretti started his interest in dentistry during his high school and college summer breaks outside of Providence RI, where he began dental assisting. Over the past 30 years, he has given 110% of his mental, physical and financial energy to provide outstanding dental care and state-of-the-art dental services to his patients and has create a wonderful work environment for his Dental Teams.
Dr. Allegretti earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Medical College of Virginia in 1988, became a part-time faculty member at the Medical College of Virginia and joined a private practice in Richmond, VA. In 1990 he decided to voluntarily join the United States Navy as a Commissioned Dental Officer where he received advanced dental training. After serving five years active military duty Dr. Allegretti voluntary retired from the Navy and began his private practice in northern Virginia. The practice introduced the latest technology to the area and became one of the …most respected practices in the area. Dr. Allegretti and his VA Dental Team also received a “Reader’s Choice” award from Northern Virginia Living Magazine as Northern Virginia’s best dental office.
Over the past three decades Dr. Allegretti has advanced his education on cutting-edge dental treatments and services. His training consists of all aspects of dentistry including Invisalign Orthodontics, Dental Implantology, CEREC Robotic Crown Fabrication, and all phases of Cosmetic Dentistry.
With all this advanced training and education Dr. Allegretti has received several awards in recognition of his commitment to dental excellence. These awards include a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, (a prestigious appointment only held by 10% of all general dentists), a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 2008, Dr. Allegretti decided to relocate back to New England to care for his parents. After a year of settling in Provincetown, he decided to create Provincetown Dental Arts in 2009 and bring the successful formula of Excellence, Technology, and Quality combined with outstanding customer service to the Cape Cod area.
Continuously striving and working toward being the best Dental Practice on the Cape is extremely important to Dr. Allegretti and his Dental Team. They attend an average of 125 hours of continuing education courses per year and take great pride in staying current with the latest dental techniques and utilizing the most current technology. Additionally, Dr. Allegretti and his Dental Team have over 150 years of combined expertise between them and are currently members of the Cape Cod Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Registered Dental Hygienist Society, and the Certified Dental Assistant Society.
In August of 2006, Dr. Allegretti was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This prestigious award was achieved by completing a high level of dental continuing education courses over a 15- year period and extensive examination in all phases of dentistry.
In August of 2008, Dr. Allegretti was awarded a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This prestigious award was achieved by completing 450 continuing education hours in the study of implants while also completing a number of implant placement and implant restored cases.
As an active proponent of the arts, sports, and health, Dr. Allegretti proudly supports local theatre, artists, various baseball and football programs throughout the area and physical education. He enjoys running, swimming, cycling and traveling.
