I had two Inguinal Hernias surgeries over a 25 year period. It took me over 6 years to convince me to finally decide getting care for my second surgery. The first problem was that I had no insurance coverage then after finally going through intensive pain for the 6 year period I decided in 2015 to make it an urgent obligation to explore all possibilities of getting coverage 5 years after The Affordable Care Act became law. I showed up at The Heal Center at Mount Sinai West and was told than coverage was approved for me having inguinal surgery. I was very excited by the news and decided to visit the surgeon's office on the same day to get knowledge on the procedures required to undergo surgery and to finally decide on a date for the procedure. I was at first very hesitant and became very nervous on selecting a date but gained coverage and decided on the earliest available date.....The surgery was conducted at Mount Sinai West by Dr. Scott Belsley in the presence of some of his students.… I was released after the surgery. I did some research on Dr. Belsley and was very impressed by his resume and the success of the reviews of his past patients. It's been 5 years since I had my surgery and I must say I feel 100% cured. Thanks for the diligent pre and post surgical care I received from Dr. Belsley and his team. I won't hesitate to recommend Dr. Belsley to anyone who requires undergoing the same procedure.

Initial appointment went very smooth. I met Dr. Belsley, his physician assistant and his nutritionist. Well run office.

The staff are great ! They take the time for full medical history. Dr Belsely is pleasant and puts you at ease. Currently awaiting tests but I am comfortable with treatment so far.

I can't say enough about Dr. Belsley. Apart from being a fine surgeon, he is diligent about follow-up and is particularly good at returning calls during emergencies.
