Dr. Scott P R Berk, MD

Before making appointment, called and confirmed that they accept my insurance, I was told they do. Then, after seeing the doctor, was sent a bill and told we don't take your insurance. Same thing happened to a woman I met after it happened to me. Very strange, rude and unprofessional vibe there.

Dr Berk was very through in asking questions that coupled with blood work has eliminated many of my issues that are related to menopause. I’m very grateful to have found him. ??

Dr. Berk is an outstanding physician. I came to him four years ago with many issues (Hashimoto's, fatigue, severe stress and anxiety, thinning hair, lack of sleep, etc.) after I hit a roadblock with my previous doctor. He is accommodating with recommending different options and always takes the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I am at the office a minimum of two times per month for chelation therapy to reduce the heavy metals from my body. Occasionally when I have been under the weather, I will get the Myers Cocktail IV or Ozone IV therapy, so I spend a lot of time with the nurse Rose. She is kindhearted and provides exceptional care. Lisa, who runs the office, is always warm, efficient, and helpful. The entire staff is superb! My health has been transformed in the last four years, thanks to Dr. Berk. I highly appreciate his expertise, trustworthiness, and genuine care for his patients. P.S. My now 18 y/o has seen the doctor occasionally for a variety of… reasons over the years. My son feels very comfortable with the doctor and enjoys his humor. Most importantly we always get results!!!

Dr. Scott Berk has been my Primary Care Physician for over 12 years providing my routine healthcare. Over those years, as I age, the number of my health issues has increased, many of them have required major medical procedures and ongoing care with specialists. Dr. Berk has been steadily supportive and supplementary in this continuing care of my various medical conditions. His approach has always been educational along with planning the necessary treatments. During appointments with him, he is focused on those health concerns that I bring to each session. I always feel well attended to. Besides being professional, he does have a unique sense of humor. Over the last few years, I have been having weekly office visits for supplemental treatments of my various conditions. The Nursing Staff, majorly Rose, has been exceptional in providing that special care. The Secretary, Lisa, has always been efficient, accommodating and friendly with administrative concerns. In the office, I sense an… atmosphere of collegiality and mutual respect which adds to my sense of being cared for.

The lack of quality care this doctor provides is infinite, therefore, i have made a list that i would recommend reading before visiting Dr. Berk: 1.) He does not accept insurance (office visit is $300!) (Sometimes this helps doctors provide better care, in his case it does not). 2.) He will make an IMMEDIATE diagnosis upon seeing you which will be listed on your receipt after leaving the office (Without a test to confirm). 3.) He will order bloodwork ONLY at HIS LAB. 4.) This lab is not covered by insurance. 5.) Lab results are inconclusive and not FDA approved. 6.) He does not exercise good judgement when ordering blood work (excessive tests are ordered that are unnecessary and expensive. To some, probably unethical because of the high cost of his services). 7.) Lab results take 2-4 weeks to receive. 8.) He uses the results to confirm his previous diagnosis that he made the 1st visit (making the bloodwork he ordered pointless). 9.) If you ask a question he will immediately disregard… it. Trust me just try it! 10.) Rose the nurse, been working there for almost a decade, is so rude to the point where i thought she had sustained a TBI. Like that is the only explanation for her behavior. I would repeat myself multiple times to her and if she doesn’t like your answer she will keep asking. If i wanted to be treated like that i would have asked Matt Gaetz to be my nurse! Ultimately, just don’t go here. I don’t want to waste anymore of my day writing this review, but i thought it was important to put my experience out there so other patients will have the opportunity to avoid this place and get a chance to receive better care. I was referred here from another doctors office. AWFUL experience. Made an appointment to see Dr Berk, waited over an hour, and then the nurse told me that he would not be seeing me. THEN they proceeded to try and charge me for a doctors visit when I did not even see the doctor!!! Outrageous experience. Would never recommend this facility. Also, the office is filthy. Hair and spider webs on the floor.. not pleasant.

Dreadful office manager...rude. Office Prefers you have blood drawn at their facility but then insists it takes 2-3 weeks for results. Gives you hard time if you want a script for blood at another place like lab corp. Won't even schedule a follow up to discuss bloodwork for 4 weeks. Then during follow up dr spends 5 minutes with you only to not discuss last round of results and request more bloodwork

Rude and arrogant

Holistic doctors should be mindful in selecting their staff members. Hiring an RN who laughs in response to patients sharing their natural care beliefs should NOT be part of a holistic practice. Does Dr. Berk approve of her advising patients to follow traditional American health care methods? Does he even know or care?

Dr. Scott Berk is knowledgeable but rushes through appointments and doesn't allow me to say much without interrupting. So I tried to ask some questions after one of my appointments but I was given the run around. I was mistreated and verbally abused by 3 members of his staff simply for asking questions regarding my condition and treatment. In addition, all three refused to answer me when I asked if my questions would be shared with Dr. Berk. One nurse even gives medical advice without referring to patient blood test results, and also without consulting Dr. Berk. Ridiculous!
