Dr. Scott Robert Burg, DO

Rude, dismissive, shouted over me during my appointment, interrupted me while I was telling him symptoms I'm currently having to STOP me and then moved on! During my first appointment he told me not to say the word "inflammation" because it was serious language even though I am having inflammation that shows up in my bloodwork! NO EMPATHY or bedside manner. The most arrogant medical professional I have ever been under the care of. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS MAN. You will be wasting your time and money!

Declared me fine "but I'll do a few tests", which came back with results pointing worryingly to kidney failure and instead of even giving me a reference to an appropriate specialist, or even a proper mychart message and maybe admit he made a mistake saying I was fine before I was able to say anything to him, he chickened out and told me to go talk to my primary care doctor. Additionally he kept cutting me off when I tried to tell him symptoms, and claimed I had no back pain on my chart. Maybe the first sign that something is seriously wrong is that your 29 year old patient has memory so bad they need to read you notes to describes their symptoms. Maybe????

Dr. Burg walked in and was immediately rude to me saying he treats very ill people and he had limited resources and my condition could be handled by a mere primary care physician. He said they wouldn't even treat me. I apologized because he seemed VERY annoyed. I mentioned my primary care had recommended I see a specialist to confirm her diagnosis. Then he assaulted me with a barrage of sarcastic questions indicating to me, disbelief in my problem. All his questions were put to me in a snide, irritated tone.I would never recommend this physician. I work in a healthcare system and we would not tolerate this type of behavior. Thank God my primary care group is excellent.

I am a disabled Marine Vet. I have been diagnosed with RA for 15 years. After one visit he told me I was making it all up. He also made rude comments about my military service. I would rather die than see him again.

Avoid this doctor. I know more than he does.

Dr. Burg was very condescending and patronizing to me. You get the impression that you are just a lowly patient who knows nothing while he is the almighty doctor. He did not listen and did not appreciate any questions that I asked. He seemed to get defensive, as if I was questioning his diagnosis. He asked me basic questions that he would have known if he had simply read my chart. In addition, after my initial consultation he asked me to follow up with him a couple of weeks later. When I did, my condition had worsened considerably and he advised me to book an appointment within the next 4-6 weeks; I was not able to get in until almost four months later.

I would never recommend Dr. Burg. He did not help me at all. He has no compassion at all. Never explained anything. Disregarded my questions & always in a rush to get me out of the office.
