Dr. Clayhold replaced a failed implant he’d placed 17 years earlier and it became severely infected. I was moving out of state and ended up needing emergency surgery ($3,000) from a closer surgeon to have the implant taken out. Dr. Clayhold refused to reimburse me for the work they'd done that had to be removed suggesting that I should have driven 400 miles to their office, instead of the closest surgeon who was 100 miles from me. Given my pain level, I was in no condition to drive any distance and had to find someone to take me. Dr. Clayhold's office offered me an insulting $500 "hardship" credit (which I declined) towards my $5,000+ procedure, which included a $1,000 robotics upcharge less than 24 hours before surgery, related to my bone density. The entire experience was a nightmare. I was on antibiotics for nearly a month, had a golf ball-sized infection in my severely bruised face, missed several days of work, and $8,000 later, I still don't have an implant.

No one would ever say surgery was fun, but when you to have it, I'd suggest you come here. The waiting area feels like a comfy coffee shop with chairs you'd have in your living room and a beautiful stone fireplace. Dr. Clayhold and his staff will explain thoroughly to you and answer any questions, giving you lots of time. After surgery, Dr. Clayhold personally called to see how the afternoon and evening were going and to review the post-op care directions again to be sure we were comfortable.

I have needed Dr. Clayhold's services twice. The first time was for just a tooth extraction - that was fine. The second time was for implant surgery. Everyone at the front desk is enthusiastic to greet and help you. They are gracious and want to take care of every detail for you. After meeting and talking with Dr. Clayhold, it is easy to see how much he enjoys what he does. He explained my implant surgery with a teacher's patience. Everything he told me, happened exactly the way he said it would. The day of the procedure went well and I'mready to set up the 2nd half of the implant surgery. The staff that assisted him were also at the top of their game. They took very good care of me. Recovery was made easy because of them. I would not hesitate seeing Dr. Clayhold again, if his services are needed. Also, I have referred several friends to him and they have been pleased as well.
