Dr. Scott Evan Cooper, MD

Dr. Cooper may not be the most personable but he was the best medical resource we could have asked for. My late husband was an hematologist/oncologist with the Cleveland Clinic diagnosed initially with Parkinson's Disease and additionally with Luey Body dementia. Dr. Cooper was incredibly open and informative re: my husband disease progress and, when asked specific questions by me as caregiver, happy to provide answers without alarming the patient. He was supportive, available by phone when I on occasion needed an answer and thorough. I appreciated his care for my husband until he passed away.

Dr Cooper is well trained and very intelligent. However, his staff is rude and no help in resolving problems. I was seen by him 2 months ago and my local physicians still have not received a consultation note. When I call to inquire about this I am told that the records have not been signed off and that I cannot speak with anyone else. Two months???

I was hoping to see a doctor who would be able to explain why my balance is off and my gait is abnormal. I had been diagnosed with SCA a couple months ago by a different neurologist and wanted a second opinion. He told me that i was exagerating my walking and balance problems and said i don't have SCA. He said he isn't sure but i could be having some problems with my ears. I told him i didn't want to argue with him but wanted him to know that i was not exagerrating anything and he said and he said" yes you do".. My daughter was with me and she could not believe how rude he was. He said he didn't know what was causing my essencial tremors in my face and didn't offer to put me on any medication that might help ease them. I will not recommend this doctor to anyone, not only was he rude, he was very uncaring . He needs to take some classes in human relations. On a scale of 1-10 he would be a zero.
