Dr. Scott Alex Culpepper, MD

I would NOT recommend this physician based on my first and only experience at Dr. Culpepper's office. My principal complaint is inadequate communication e.g. changes to medication without my knowledge or consent, and lack of attention to detail on Dr. Culpepper's part regarding potentially serious test results. As a new patient I would have expected a higher, or at least a sufficient amount of consideration regarding my health. I'm writing to help prevent others from some level of the frustration, financial impact and inconvenience that Dr. Culpepper has caused me.

I honestly feel like he diagnoses you by going on Web Md. He never does an exam. He just sends me off with another prescription or to another specialist every time. I'm not getting any better health wise. Need to find a doctor who actually cares about my health.

First off, I am pregnant. So I had to get a physical before getting a referral to see an OBGYN. Part of my physical was a Pap smear. Dr. culpepper did not talk through what he was doing like normal doctors do. When he was done, he left the room and didn't say anything to me about the exam. 10 minutes he opens the door and pokes his head in. He tells me I have a bacterial infection and a yeast infection and that he prescribed me some gel And a pill and he'll see me next time. He didn't even come into the room to tell me! And he didn't sit down like a doctor would normally do and explain what it is. A couple days later I got a call from his nurse and she says she has the results from my tests. And she was it was definitely positive for bacteria and yeast. TODAY, I had an appointment with my OBGYN, and she sat with me and showed me my lab results from my Pap, and of DEFINETELY SAID "NEGATIVE FOR BACTERIA"!! I am so mad and irritated with this doctor. He is rude and… DEFINETELY does not have good bedside manor. I will never go see him again. He is not friendly, and he has always made me feel very uncomfortable.

I'm have been seeing Dr .Cullpeper for the last 6 months and I'm must admit I feel very uncomfortable around him. When I have my visit's with him he does a lot of talking instead of doing an examine. He talks so much and constantly use the word "oh" Okay" He spends more time in the hallway talking to all the nurse. When he comes in to to me I get 3mins of his time.

Dr Culpepper will write you a ton of referrals and not even let you know.. then the day after the appointment random people will call you..

Dr. Culpepper does not have time for his patients. I felt rushed every time he saw me as if I was taking his time away from other, more important matters. I cannot in good conscience recommend this doctor to anyone and have myself found a new practitioner for my family.

My two girls has seen many different doctor and I have to say Dr. Culpepper is "THe Best" of all of them and I have finally found a Dr. that I am pleased with. He listens to both I and my girls and is very friendly and kind. My younger one has had some medical issue that I thought we growing pains, he looked into it and refered her to Dr. Knibbe, I believe if it wasn't for Dr. Culpepper her condition could have been worse.
