If I could do zero stars, I would. This “Dr” needs help for his own self. When I was 13 years old, I was taken to him to be diagnosed as “bipolar” as he diagnoses everyone no matter the age with that in a matter of 15 minutes of sitting down. I was prescribed EXTREMELY harsh medications. Every appointment he would adjust dosages, add or take away medications. It would always be a scale I would have to rate myself that day and if I was happy, it was wrong. It took til I was a legal adult and took myself to a new dr to find out I was never bipolar. I ended up getting an other professional opinions and they were all the same, no bipolar. This guy ruins lives and needs his license taken.

Can I give this goon zero stars? He treated me in my early 20s and diagnosed me as bipolar within ten minutes of meeting me. Prescribed Depakote and Lamictal on the first visit and told me that, and I quote (well, as close as I can within memory), "we'll rework the dosage as we go - for example, I have a patient that I've upped to 30 tablets a day." For the short period I was under his care, I became distant to my family, friends, and significant other. The effects of these ill-prescribed drugs almost cost me a number of valuable relationships because I lost almost all ability to function properly within social situations. To make matters worse, when I made the final decision to remove myself from his care and seek another opinion, I called his office and left a brief, respectful message letting him know I would not be continuing with him. Within hours, he called me personally and mocked me, told me I lacked the maturity to make such decisions, and "one day I'll grow up and… realize the real world doesn't mean you can just do what you want." He was as laughably insulting as his care would suggest. If he had said it to me in person I would have gladly slapped that stupid bowtie off of him. It's years later now and I'm still in awe of the fact that this man has a medical license and has been trusted with the care of people's mental illness. I hate to say that I'm comforted by other's statements here, because NO ONE should be subjected to this by a medical "professional" (heavy quotes in reference to this pill-happy mouthbreather), but at the very least it validates my experience and assures me that I'm remembering every element of my experience with precise detail. Dr. Scott Cunningham should be provided with two options - seek severe treatment for his own very obvious issues or relinquish his medical license before he does any more harm.

Dr Cunningham was weird. He dressed with a bow tie and always wore Birkenstocks with socks. The drugs he prescribed for me made me like a zombie. I couldn't function or work. I'd drool, stare into space and if he told me his Oreo cookie theory re: Bipolar disorder one more time, I wanted to scream. When I told him the meds side effects such as hair loss, 50 lbs weight gain, etc, he would just put me on another drug which was ten times worse. Depakote (mood stabilizer) 20 mg Ambien for sleep & 1 -2 mg Xanax for anxiety. Dr suggested electric shock treatments which I firmly declined. The Depakote destroyed my liver and gave me 2nd stage liver disease as a result of extremely high liver enzymes. When I stopped taking the meds he prescribed, he stopped seeing me.

I really like this doctor. I understand he is leaving Crossroads for a new opportunity. Wish I knew where he was going.

Nonsense. Its a Bipolar assembly line. If you go to him to be evaluated because your wife is nuts and needs you to be he will give some pills and say your bipolar and give you an oreo diagram. He does it for everyone.

He is horrible. Everyone is bipolar. I talk with drup reps who work with him and they tell me also bipolar is all he is interested in. If your depressed, he will make you feel worse. You will be drugged up with bipolar meds and come out crazier than you came in.

Ok, I thought it was just me and something told me to see if there are any reviews... And WOW! I'm actually relieved to see the reviews. I too was diagnosed with bi-polar and I have always felt I have depression and OCD and ADD. He would tell me if I've EVER had an up and down scenario that makes me bi-polar. Took me off Vyvanse and that sent me into the deepest downward spiral I've ever been in. The medicines prescribed didn't work and only made me like the "walking dead" or want to sleep the day away because I had no focus or desire. I need a new doctor it seems. Any suggestions of a good doctor who will listen and prescribe the right medicines? I can't keep going on like I am... being made to think I'm bi-polar and being made to think the medicines I know I really need will just make the me even more so. "bi-polar" symptoms

This guy has some serious problems. He is narcissistic and diagnoses everyone he sees with bi polar disorder. I wonder how he keeps his license.
