Dr. Scott A Gammel, MD

Dr Gammel has left Louisiana. His patients are now seeing Angela a Nurse Prac. & is charging insurances Dr spec rates which I reported. You go in take a drug test & they issue scripts (no exam) because Angela is a Germaphobic & cannot touch patients. How they get away w this I have no idea. Sad because I adored De Gammel

I was served a certified letter saying I was out of pain management because my niece made a call saying I was selling my medicine which was a lie. I was called in to bring my medicine so they counted them and did a drug test and I was thrown out of pain management. She was a ex convict freshly out of jail made the call and received a letter saying i couldn't see him anymore. This is sad cause i been seeing him for 15 years and they acted like they find Klonopin in my urine. Of course they would find Klonopin they were weening me off it. Mrs. Angela acts like you have a disease and don't want to touch you like you have a disease I wasn't comfortable with her. She wouldn't pay attention to what I was saying. Dr. Gammel was my doctor and hardly seen him. He's an A+ very understanding but would never give me a reason for throwing me out of pain management. They believed the caller who lied about me.My medicine was all accounted for,so I deserved to know why I was thrown out. I never did… drugs or sell them. After 15 yrs. Seeing him he believed a ex convict that caller was my niece. And I still love Dr. Gammel and wish he would consider takin me back for listening to false stories. This isn't right.

I have been seeing Dr. Gammel and ms. Angela for a few months now with no satisfaction nor faith or trust in either one. I have told them both face to face the meds they have me taking are not doing Jack nothing for me. But I'll be an sob if they don't prescribe the same thing. I find ms. Angela to be rude and very unprofessional. I guess Dr. Gammel taught her to be like him and don't listen to what the patient says. The doctor is right and the patient is wrong although the patient feels the pain, the doc sure don't. You can never talk to a person here. Always leave messages woth no response. If you'd call like 4 times a day and leave messages you will be lucked to get a return call about 2-3 days later. That's sad. I have told them things numerous times. Thru just do not listen to you. Like they know where you hurt and how bad you hurting. They don't know. They just guess. I am very dissatisfied with this doctor and I would definitely not recommend him or his nurse practitioner… to anyone. They do not even attempt to help a person. I think all they in this field of work for is the money.

The Dr is an okay Dr but his PA has some issues. I was given results with her standing at the door with it open and the we're half way results "post opt changes can mean anything" when I spoke to her about this she got aggressive raised her voice and got in my face. When I requested to speak with the Dr he refused to talked to me and said he would speak with me in 3 months for my appointment which he didn't do. She even was speaking with the nurses where everyone could hear about what had happen. I Would not recommend This Dr Or His PA to anyone.

Dr. Gammel is a very good doctor, very knowledgeable and his nurses are wonderful.
