I had an appointment with Dr. Hard in the fall of 2015 to look at a vein issue in my leg. I honestly was going to cancel my follow up diagnostic appointment as I didn't intend to do a laser procedure because I didn't think my symptoms were "that bad". With the holidays I forgot to cancel my follow up so went to my appointment. They had me scheduled for an ultrasound which indicated issues that warranted surgery. Within a month the procedure was completed and took less time than estimated. A week post surgery I noticed marked improvement in my leg. I didn't realize how much discomfort I'd been experiencing on a daily basis until that discomfort was no longer present. Routine tasks like driving were suddenly pain free! Now, six months post surgery I am able to run without excess fatigue in that leg, exercise comfortably and the improved appearance is a nice bonus. I was taken aback looking at pictures from my sister's recent wedding, noticing the absence of enlarged veins that had been… present for more than twenty years. I highly recommend Dr. Gard and this procedure!

My father was a very ill dialysis patient & his long-term prognosis was not good. Even though he didn't have long to live, we had to transfer my father to Boone Hospital because of unendurable pain from a blood clot in his arm. I had to have my dad transferred from another hospital to Boone by ambulance because they didn't realize what an emergency situation he was in. He was either going to die or have to have his arm amputated. Dr. Gard was paged during the night & had his team ready for surgery within the hour. I can't describe the relief I felt when he arrived at the hospital & took over. He saved my dad's life that night & I want to thank Dr. Gard for treating my dad like his life was just as important as a healthy person's life.
