Dr. Scott David Goldstein, MD

This doctor is jerk, should not be treating patient. Avoid this doctor at any cost. Jefferson should not have doctor like this. You will get quick appointment but not worth it. I had Rectal bleeding issue and this jerk scheduled surgery without even explaining me what kind of surgery he will do. I think he considers his patient lab animal. I am also scientist and did Phd in physiology. Honest advice. Don’t go to this doctor. I saw dr Goldstein for 3 years. During that time I had 3 lanceing procedures, 2 surgeries for a perianal abscess and what he claimed were infected anal glands. None of them fixed the problem I actually had which was a fistula. On each visit he dismissed my concerns and offered to prescribe me 60 Percocet, which I repeated declined. He didn’t make note of at least one office visit I had, and claimed I didn’t show up. Finally one of my abscess’s grew so large that I decided to seek treatment elsewhere as my problem wasn’t being addressed. In the time that I was waiting to see my new dr the abscess burst and I decided to go see dr Goldstein bc I was concerned that I was septic and would need to be admitted. The one positive thing I can say for him is that he will always see a patient in distress w little to no wait time. I asked him what was causing this, and I figured I he thought I would have to come back and see him again, his reply was “only if a fistula develops.” The abscess was so… large that I could literally see the fistula tract myself and he, as per usual, brushed me off and offered me pills. When I saw my new dr I was immediately diagnosed and treated. Now on the road to my final recovery all I can say is avoid him at all cost, unless you want to develop an opioid addiction. My friend who is a trauma surgeon recommended a male dr at Cooper in Nj, who I couldn’t be happier w and also a female at Penn who my drs NP said was also amazing.

I am dying a slow death, housebound and bed ridden. This monster told me the surgery had to be done the traditional way. So I was put under anesthesia and helpless, and not just this lying monster, but FIVE other surgical residents and fellows that he gathered up, ALL took turns playing and experimenting with their new toys that couldn't even be STERILIZED and therefore cross-contaminated me with the dirtiest part of other people's bodies, their intestines ….. he is EVIL. I am down to 88 lbs and the parasites can, and do, migrate to the heart and brain. They did SO much damage to me with adhesions and scarring that I almost died as it was turning to gangrene. Another young surgeon at ANOTHER hospital saved my life for now such as it is. The other young ethical surgeon was so shocked when he cut me open he had someone grab his cell phone and take pictures. ……………… I come from a medical family that so far has had 6 doctors. Three were Prof of Med at the Univ. of Penn. And one of… them was world respected for his teaching, mentoring and research on the Nobel level on his sabbaticals in Stockholm, and then Munich and in between heading up a nine member team for President Kennedy going over to Algeria to get their medical system back up and running when it collapsed when they broke away from France. Oh yes …….. he would have had ALOT to say to "Dr." Goldstein. I can only hope with every remaining ounce of my now little being that he and every other "human" that participated in my victimization suffers the equivalent of the horror I am living and have "lived" through ……….. "First do no harm, "Doctors" !!!

Dr. Scott D. Goldstein at Jefferson Hospital is NOT trustworthy. He performed my Mom's colonoscopy and perforated her bowel. My Mom had to undergo emergency surgery to have her sigmoid colon removed. She spent 7 nights at the hospital and the rehab center to recover from the traumatic event. Dr. Goldstein is unprofessional. He would not spend time explaining the medical condition. He was not willing to provide information on the root cause of the complication and the short term and long term impact of the surgery. When confronted by patients and families with questions, he is arrogant, condescending and simply not telling the truth. His skill and knowledge is questionable, his manners are terrible. I would not trust Dr. Goldstein treating myself, my loved ones or anyone. He should not be in this profession. Avoid Dr. Goldstein at all costs!

Dr. Goldstein gave my husband back his life after an emergency operation.

Very bad visit with this doctor.

I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Goldstein. The consultation visit was literally 45 seconds. He performed the colonoscopy in less than 15 minutes. The recovery room nurse actually had to tell him to come see me after the procedure.I had to threaten the staff to get the results and Goldstein would not call me back. My problem did not subside so I went to another doctor and he wanted to do another colonoscopy because Dr. Goldstein's exam was insufficient.

Dr.Goldstein was very professional,diagosed me within a few days,sceduling staff was very efficient,friendly,I recommend him highly

This was one of the worse office visits I have ever had. Dr Goldstein did not shake my hand, had not read my chart so he did not know he had operated on me, talked to me for less than one minute (4 questions) and on discharge gave me no instructions and said see you in a month. If you want a MD who talks with you do not go to see him. The vet spent more time talking with me about my dog then Dr Goldstein spent on this visit.I will be getting my records and finding someone else.
